Best hiking shoes

Can't say enough great things about these shoes. I think I'm on my 4th pair over the last 5-6 years. They're tough, waterproof, comfortable, and can take the abuse.

Size runs quite big in my opinion but great shoes once u get the right size

Had to order this item 3 different times. First time it never left my local post office. Actually, they said they never received it. Ordered my 2nd pair and I wear a size 10 in Nike shoes but I have a pair of Keen boots and they are size 9. Fit good. I ordered a size 9 in this particular shoe and it was way to big. I then returned that pair and ordered an 8.5. I did that bc there was a $20 difference in the 8 and 8.5. Got the 8.5 in finally and the shoe fits great. Have already tested out the waterproof and in my opinion Keen does very well with their water protection. Highly recommend for walking trails or really anything outdoors. I am a UPS driver and I use them bc of durability and they keep my feet dry. They are also very comfortable

Almost perfect! Great shoe

Awesome set of Keens! Long time fan had few different sets at this point. I’m a 8.5 in keens a 9 in ASICS and Nike never fit, 8.5 in crocs. These where a perfect fit as expected from keen. Keens toe box and quality build and longevity is why I always return to them. The insole on these ones tho are the only thing they didn’t get right normal keens have a little more padding. On this set they are so thin might as well not even been in. But u can buy keen insoles and put in ur self, it will tighten up the toe box a lil tho. The food tread on these is awesome tho. I do love the new material and pattern. Older keens squeaked when ya walked on tile or silk surfaces. I feel like a ninja in these so silent and grippy. Reinforced materials in all the high wear spots give me hope this will last a few yrs like other keens in the past. Extra set of shoe laces was a nice touch from keen this time being that they last so long normally need a new set down the road along with insoles. In the end great great shoe again from keen

not bad, needs a little breaking in

True fit and a lighter alternative to Keen's various mid-height boots. They needed a little more breaking in than my Targhee III boots recently did, and they also require heavier socks for a snug fit (since they lack the high ankle to keep things tight). The new sole was a little stiff, and seemed to make for more initial foot fatigue than something like a new pair of running shoes. But the arch support and protection are spot-on. Break-in was pretty standard (for me), wear them for a mile or two on paved paths, re-tighten the laces a couple of times along the way, repeat another day, call it done.I also tried the Targhee II shoe, and although I like its leather construction better, the design is clunkier and I found the fit less comfortable on my heel. The Exp was a little more stream-lined and better fitting.I generally like KEEN's shoes. They're well made and comfortable. And refreshingly, the lace/tongue design seems to have been done by somebody who actually wears such footwear. If you've tried some of the annoying designs where the tongue slips or chafes, the laces need to be tightened around eye-hooks individually, etc, you know exactly what I mean.Pictured: The Targhee II (shoe) and this Exp (shoe). The Exp is the brown one.Over all, I like the Targhee III boots (mid) more than this Exp (shoe), and those boots broke in faster. But I wanted a shoe (instead of boot) for times where weight/size matter-- such as flying somewhere I'm going to hike. I also find shoes less cumbersome on sand (for hikes along beaches or in sand deserts). And hopefully they wear less hot than something that covers my lower legs. For most cases, I'll prefer a boot. But for a hiking shoe, these seem decent. I'll update if they wear out unexpectedly, but otherwise, Recommended.

Great shoes, great deal.

These are excellent quality hiking shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box and will be a staple of my daily wardrobe. I walk 3-5 miles on varied PNW terrain per day, and these provide a stable stride and the traction I need to feel secure on the trail.

Great all-around shoe

This is my 2nd pair of this style of shoe from Keen. I like them because I am very hard on all-around casual "sneakers". I'm always climbing on, over, under things and today's shoe quality is pretty poor so I never get more than a few months out of them before I wear holes in the fabric upper part. These shoes, however, are extremely tough and can put up with the abuse I put them through. My last pair lasted about a year and a half, which is pretty good for me. I only gave up on them because the arch support finally gave out and the sole was really worn. The rest of the shoe was still in great shape. This new pair is a bit lighter than my previous pair, which is great because the only complaint I had about my old pair was that they were heavy.

Great hiking shoes

They fit wide feet well. Comfortable, plenty of cushion and traction. My Keens always seems to hold up well, have owned many pairs over the years. These black ones are sharp as well.
