Great hiking boot all around

After consideration, I chose this boot over some other options, and have no regrets. The price point is very reflective of the boot: good quality and build- a great shoe- but not the same as a $200+ priced boot. The support is great for most foot types, cushion is soft but firm enough for more rugged hiking. The materials have good quality to hold up against most anything, and is a boot to do anything in: a walk in the park to hiking the Rocky Mountains.Pros:-Good packaging-Great materials-Stylish look-Good comfort and support for most foot typesCons:-Could be lighter, but hiking boots aren't running shoes (trail shoes are a better option for lightness)-$140 isn't a small amount for shoes, not a low-budget option-Certain foot types may not pair well with the padding and support, but that all depends on yourparticular typeOverall, a great boot for a good price, one that you can wear with anything, anywhere.

Great Boots, Wont disappoint!

These boots are awesome! I have wide feet, and the naturally wide toe-box is perfect for me. They are sturdy, have good ankle support, good grip, waterproof, and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that because they are waterproof, they don't breath well. My socks and feet usually get some sweat when I wear these for a couple hours or more. That being said, if they weren't waterproof my feet would get a lot more wet than the little bit of sweat. It's worth the trade off. They are sturdy and durable without being very heavy too. I feel very well protected in these, but they aren't bulky or cumbersome. Great for hiking and general outdoors activities.

Keen Koven Mid Comfortable Right Out of The Box!

I've been wearing KEEN's for years now, so I ordered these boots to replace my older leather boots. They are comfortable out of the box, but were a bit large for me, although I'm a solid 12 when it comes to shoe size, width was good. The extra length isn't a huge concern, easily solved with slightly thicker socks.I bought them for the waterproof but breathable characteristics, and they have proven solid in both departments. A good choice, a good price, and comfortable right out of the box, like most KEEN's I've purchased over the years.KEEN Men's Koven Mid WP Outdoor Boot, Magnet/Gargoyle, 11.5 M US

Nice, Comfortable Boots

Love these boots. They fit perfectly and have ample toe wiggle room. My biggest fear was that they would get too hot after a long day of work being that they are waterproof. Three 12 hour days later and barely a sweat was broken. They are not as comfortable as my Salomon trail runners, but, for boots, still very wearable for long periods of time.

Bang for the buck!

These boots are great! I purchased them for a hiking trip planned in Yosemite National Park. I was a bit leery about purchasing shoes, boots none the less, online. I usually wear a size 12 in shoes (running shoes). Usually people say to buy a half size bigger for boots that have a waterproof liner (such as these). But I decided to GET A HALF SIZE SMALLER. They fit like a glove! Not too snug, and just enough room for your foot to flex when hiking different terrain. There were no factory imperfections on my boots. ANOTHER AWESOME THING: no break in period. They have mesh on the toes in the correct pattern for your toes to flex. The break in period was two days of wear, really. Excellent boots and I strongly recommend them!

Love em

So im a size 10 and they fit as expected.I wasn't sure about these boots because I've always been a merrell and vasque guy but these boots are pretty awesome. They are very comfortable. Ive owned these for about 15 months and I've used them on a few hiking/camping trips going through rough terrain and still holding up.I recommend for any one who is looking for a durable and reliable boot.Fyi these boots aren't that breathable so if your hiking in hot weather your feet might sweat up because mine did in 100+ degrees on vacation.but if your from the NORTHWEST like me were its cold and always raining they will be perfect

Overall a good boot

To be fair, I have narrow feet and Amazon will not stock shoes or boots narrower than a D with. That's a blight on Amazon. To compensate for that, I also buy inserts to take up the extra space. It works, but it's not the proper way to fit a boot. This is the 2nd pair I have purchased. The 1st pair lasted about 12 months. I use them mainly for winter walking which in MN is a long time. The outside edge of the heel wore away faster than what I think is normal. These newer boots have a different constructed heel and I hope that will make a difference in the wear factor. Neither pairs of boots have had the problem of the top eyelets (hooks) ripping out which I noticed some people were complaining about. With the inserts in, they are comfortable enough for a good 3-hour walk. Wear good wicking socks since the boots breathability is just so-so. I contribute that to the boots being waterproof.
