Great slippers... my third pair!!!
I've got a lot of cheap slides, but I wanted a good, quality pair with toe protection, so naturally I looked at what Keen had to offer. I ordered a Yogui, an Aruba II and an Uneek. The Yogui did not fit my foot at all (it will be returned immediately), the Aruba II was okay, but not all that comfortable and felt cheap (still debating on keeping it), but the Uneek was wonderfully comfortable right out of the box! I've read other reviews that said these run a 1/2 size small. That may be true of the models with a back on them, but the slides fit me perfectly and conform to my foot in my normal size.
These shoes do not work for my wide feet as well as the sandals version. I would return them if I could but have already worn them outside. I’m hoping they’ll stretch out a little.
Based in reviews here I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual and the shoes fit very well. Good quality and love the style. Very good casual shoes but probably not the best if you are doing a lot of walking. The cushioning in the sole is less than expected. Otherwise, very good shoe.
The Keen men's Uneek Slide sandals have exceeded my expectations with regard to comfort, fit, and overall performance. I wear an 11D and found Keen's footbed to fit perfectly in that size. I wear these around the home and out and about. There is sufficient material atop the foot to provide a secure fit and the corded sides provide exceptional ventilation, which is especially beneficial in Summerville, SC.While wearing them around the community pool, several other men asked about them and commented about how good looking they were. Like me, each stated their dissatisfaction with thongs which can cut between the toes, and other slides which perform more like a flip flop than a platform for comfortable walking. Additionally, the outer sole provides great traction and is thick enough so your barefoot doesn't contact the wetness of surfaces. I waited a month before writing this review, so I could wear them in many different applications and can now say that I highly recommend them.
First off, I'm a huge fan of Keen shoes. I've owned several pairs over the years. I have found their shoes to be consistently comfortable for me, because I have wide feet and appreciate a little wiggle room for the piggies. Keen has my work shoes covered, I know that... yet I wanted a nice comfy pair of airy sandal type shoes for the weekend. We all have our favorite sofa shoes that are built for watching tv and eating junk food. Well I'm sad to say that I wasn't impressed with these shoes. First off they are very expensive for what they are, ok well maybe they are comfortable? Nope. People in Thailand (where these shoes are made) must have much smaller feet than myself, because I ordered a size larger than normal and my feet kinda sorta fit without socks on... with socks? Forget it. I still love you Keen, but this one needs some work!!!
This shoe is superior in design, durability, versatility, and style. I wear my Uneek slides daily. When I bought these I done a lot of research before spending this kind of money on slides. I was very sceptical about the purchase. However, I want to say to anyone that wears slides on a regular basis, buy these shoes. By the time a pair of Keens are broke in those $30 nike slides are tearing apart. I went through 3 pair of nike slides in a year. I have taken my Keens places I would never think about walking in nike slides, from hiking to directly in the creek with me. I have washed them several times in the washer, something I would never do with any other slides. Nike is good for occasional useage. Keen is good for everyday use plus the Uneek style offers more foot protection while still allowing your foot to breath. When buying these i was worried about the size because previous reviews suggested buying half a size bigger, however, I wear a size 12 the next size up was 13. I ordered the 12 regardless, I am satisfied with the fit. They were snug at first but once I broke them in they fit like gloves. Your feet do get sore at first from the rope but it only lasts about a week. My only other concern when buying these was the insole appeared to be made of a soft material that would tear easily. To my plesent suprise the material was soft but it is just as durable as the rest of the shoe. The inside material does hold more dirt but is durable enough to scrub clean. Overall I am delighted to have a pair of slides that will last at least 3 more years with everyday usage. If you dont want a thong between your toes (i.e. Rainbows) Keen is the way to go.
