Comfortable lounging slip-on shoes

These Keen recycled material shoes are easy to slip on and off. On your feet they feel light and well cushioned. The upper provides ample room to allow my size 10 U.S. neutral feet to rest comfortably. The rubber outsole has held up nicely after many uses both inside and outside environments. Overall the shoes are very comfortable and have a best user of lounging around the house in them or running quick errands. The build quality was good out the box and has held up over time. The look of the shoes is just ok not the most visually appealing and more on the just plain side. I believe the price to be a tad high for the overall value you receive from these shoes.

Love them

Ok I will start by saying these are possibly some of the ugliest shoes well besides Crocs, Hey Dudes, or most Sketchers but comfort wise... top notch! I bought these to do my pool cleaning and other backyard chores and I have been wearing them around the house because they feel like sturdy slippers. True to size with all day comfort well worth the price.

Not overly impressed

These shoes are okay but nothing more than that. They are pretty comfortable, but not super comfortable. The crush back 'function' sort of works but when I do this it feels weird to walk on them this way. It feels like I am walking on shoes that I crushed the back on - not like it is something that snaps into place.Overall I feel the shoes are pretty unattractive. But I guess if you are looking for functionality, this may not matter.I just don't find any features that make these shoes worth the cost. They seem pretty average and nothing special.

Husband likes these but they're not attractive shoes

I ordered these Keen crushback shoes for my husband. He normally wears work boots that are heavy and pretty flat on the bottom, so he was surprised by the toe spring on them, but otherwise says they're comfortable. He seems pretty pleased and wore them out to town for errands the same day he got them. I'm not sure they're worth the nearly-hundred-dollar price they were when I ordered them, but I suppose time will tell. If I had seen them in person before ordering them, and saw the price tag at the same time, I don't believe I would have bought them though. As other reviewers have said, they look a lot like slippers, which is surprising since in the listing photos they come off as more of a casual sneaker type of shoe. My husband wears a size 11.5 or a 12, and I'm glad I ordered the size 12 for him.

Typical Keen quality. Very comfortable.

I can't say these are the best looking shoes on the planet, but I probably shouldn't have gotten black. If I ordered them again, I would get a lighter color. That said, they're extremely comfortable and well made. Of course, that's to be expected from Keen. Sizing is accurate. I wear a size 10 and they seem to fit perfectly. I think they'll be durable also.

Does not match what I expect from Keen

I have had multiple Keen shoes over the years, and am generally a fan of their product and overall brand. This pair was not what I expected in terms of material. I'm not knocking the "quality," but the real-world (vs. photo) aesthetics. I'm puzzled as to what activity they picture these being perfect for.Perhaps if I understood what they were thinking, I might "get it" and appreciate their functionality more, or might have avoided getting them. I visited their main website, and it only features pictures of the shoes themselves, with no additional information that helps me understand their intended use. They run small and felt just a tad bit cramped in the toes, but the soles are comfortable. In my opinion, the material (in person) is just hideous. The material is very plastic and cheap-looking, and I think below the quality (or at least the aesthetic quality) I'm used to from Keey.I wouldn't walk anywhere in public with them... and I'm probably the least worried about what people think about my shoes. I purchased these based on the photos, but the material looks extremely disappointing in person. However, if these are, say, winter slippers, then they may be decently acceptable for around the house, or taking the trash out, or something. I gave it three stars solely because I trust the brand, and I may be missing something here.

Different sized shoes -- not mirror images of each other

Two problems:We ordered Men’s 9.5 for my husband. What arrived was Men’s 8.5.On top of that, the shoes don’t even match. My husband could squeeze into the left, but the right was not the same, and the opening was smaller enough that he couldn't get his foot into it at all.Our conversation went in a typical married-couple style:Him: This one isn’t the same size.Me: Sure it is. Your feet are different sizes. People's feet aren't exactly the same.Him: No, I can’t even get my foot into this side.Me: They're smaller than we ordered, but they're not THAT much smaller.Him: I know. They aren't the same size, I'm telling you!Me: Check the labels.Him: Both say Men’s 41, Size 8.5.Me: That can’t be right. They don’t just make shoes completely different sizes.Him: They did this time. Let’s measure.Me: Wow. YOU were right! {The three sweetest words to hear in marriage!]It’s as if the left and right specs went to different factories. I tried them on myself, and the right shoe would have worked OK for me -- at least I could get it on -- while the left shoe was looser both in the opening and for the shoe in general. Also, these shoes felt flimsier than we expect from Keen, which is one of my favorite brands. Avoid this one, though — quality control was lax, and the design and execution on this model is an unfortunate misfire.
