These shoes are awesome! They have held up great and my very picky grandson absolutely loves them. My experience with Keen shoes for my grandkids has always been great. They fit as expected and apparently they are very comfortable. By the time he outgrows them, they are still in very good condition to where he can hand them down to his younger brother..
These are fantastic all around kid shoes. My son asks for a new pair every time he outgrows a pair. His old pairs are now on hand-me-down kid #s 2 and 3. You can throw them in the wash, take the insole out to dry, put the shoes in the sun and they dry quickly.
I like these shoes for my daughter because they have a heavy duty toe guard on them. This prevents premature wear on the shoes. Kids have the habit of kicking and dragging and I have had an issue with other shoes looking very poorly after a short while. I also like these because when it's wet outside many of the splashes in puddles are not an issue because of the more substantial rubber area and the rest of the material is a thicker canvas and suede that prevents most rain from soaking in. These don't have a great amount of cushion in my opinion however because she's only six she has the joy of having a young body that is mostly immune to an older bodies aches and pains. You could easy put a better insole in, the velcro closer makes them easy to adjust and it is a wider shoe than many. These are easy for her to put on and match outfits easily. I would recommend these and will probably buy another pair when she grows.
I started buying keens for my kids about a year ago. Their first pair lasted them til they outgrew them! They were still in such good condition, I sold them at a local consignment sale. They’re very high-quality shoes that last. Plus the wide toe box is great for developing feet! I have a 9, 4, snd 1 year old. Keen’s are the only shoes I can keep on my 1 year olds thick, wide feet, and the only shoes my 9 year old doesn’t complain about wearing. I love them and recommend to everyone ☺️
I bought these for me. They're pretty deep (the sides push into my ankle bones), so I just put an extra insole into them. This is the third pair of these exact shoes and I've loved them all. I actually wore them all winter (in Canada) just with thicker socks. They do the trick when I'm not spending time in the snow. I did find them a little hot when we were on holiday in the Caribbean in January, but these are technically more of a shoe than a sandal. I love how wide the sole is. Very sturdy for uneven ground.
My daughter loves them! She said they are the most comfy shoes she has ever had and they make her jump super high! I do wish I would have sized up more. My daughter wears a size 12, I ordered a 13 and I wish I would have went up one more size. They fit but with very little growing room. Otherwise they are very sturdy!
I've been wearing Keen shoes for years and have never had a pair I didn't like. These are no exception. I usually wear a women's size 6.5, so thought I'd go with size 7 BigKid. They ended up being too big (both length & width), so I returned them and ordered size 6 BigKid...thinking I might have to return them as well. Nope...no return needed since they fit perfectly. I love the extra width room on the toes and they will be great when going to the lake and hiking.
