Great overall, dependable, long lasting safety shoe

Been using KEEN’s steel/composite toe safety shoes for the last 10 years and they do not disappoint! This specific model I have been wearing for the last 3 years and still remain sturdy, comfortable. The wear on this model lasts and retains mush if its features from being brand new. Sole wear is normal in my opinion. The only downfall with KEEN’s, is the material on the heel of the shoe seems to deteriorate quicker than expected. However, is does stay together- rather a defect due to normal wear.I highly recommend this model and any shoe from KEEN as they will credit the money spent on them.

Love the shoes, hate the color options

I was pretty happy when I found the Flint 1s that I had before I bought these. Keen has a really good steel toe with a wide toe box that makes them not feel like steel toes very much. The problem I had with those was the top loops were off in some way I never figured out but made it very hard to get them at the right tightness. Those lasted 2 years (twice what any other steel toe I had before lasted) and even then it only really wore out because of the heel portion due to sliding in and out of them to avoid retying. This version is even more comfortable, one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had actually and they also fixed the lacing problem. The only downside is they cut back on the mesh (so a bit less breathable than the Flint 1s) and the color options. I REALLY don't like brown shoes and my color choices were 'really brown' or 'kinda brown'. The fact that I'm still giving these shoes 5 stars in spite of hating the color tells you how great they are in every other way.

Kind of homely, but great work shoes!

I've had these shoes for about a year and my opinion of them has changed for the better. When I first got the shoes I thought they were ugly and wouldn't last. The grommets were replaced by fabric to hold the laces, and I was skeptical. Now that I have been using them in demanding situations, I can attest that they are extremely sturdy shoes. They have held up to rocky slopes, debris from building demolition, impacts from tools and materials, and tough, heavy use. They aren't attractive shoes, but they are solid and reliable. The fit is very comfortable. They are wide enough to give an extremely stable foundation but not so big to be burdensome. They are a little bit heavy, but they are so tough that I am not surprised by that. One gets used to it quickly. There is no hesitation because of questionable footing with these shoes. The size was spot on for me.It took me a little while to get used to them, but I am now sold on these shoes. They are solid, tough, comfortable, and reliably sure footed.

Durable, comfortable, makes you taller

I've had these shoes for 4 months now and they show no sign of wear/tear. I work in a busy deli in a grocery store and am on my feet for 8+ hours a day. I've chewed through over 7 other shoes in my 1.5 years here all that gave varying amounts of foot/heel pain.Since wearing these(along with shoe insoles) my foot pain is minimal at it's worst. I used to not be able to walk w/out pain in my heels and would tip toe around the house after work but with these I have no issues during or after work(again, with insoles as I have always done even with the other shoes). They get covered in breading, miscellaneous foods/liquids and I just hose them down at the end of each shift and they're fine. I'm 6'1 and these shoes with the insoles I wear make me like 6'3ish. It's kinda funny taking a step down each time I end my workday.EDIT: I've had these for almost 2 years now, no foot pain at the end of the day, still comfortable as ever and have 0 visible wear or tear on them. I'd buy them again if I needed a new pair but these are still going strong so I don't need to XD

Good Work Shoe

Second pair. They hold up very well. The first pair had a slightly different tread and sole that did not last as long. Th second pair is holding up better. The fit and wear well for me.

Comfy and capable work shoes

Bought these because I injured my leg and my work boots were too heavy to lift. These shoes provide the protection I need building control panels and on the fabrication floor. They also provide decent arch support, I was surprised at this. The Electrical Hazard rating is precisely what I need, along with a steel toe and toe/heel guards. The toe box is the right size for me, even with the steel toe cover. Flexing the shoe is probably the most comfortable I've witnessed in a work shoe. There is a chemical smell, probably from the soles. I don't notice it much. The laces have a natural twist in them, don't know why but they work out just fine.If you have medium to high arches like me, the Samurai plastic inserts are a comfy upgrade. Not recommended for a hot-work environment like welding and fabrication. The mesh flex points will get melted. Abrasion is probably the second weakest point to this design, but it's a shoe not a boot.
