Instant comfort. Well supported feet.
I work on my feet 10-12 hrs a day at an animal shelter cleaning kennels, walking dogs, scrubbing cages, doing shelter laundry, etc... it's no office job. I usually average 10-15,000 steps a day.I have super flat-wide feet, bad ankles, and painful hips. I'm also fat.Keens were reccomended to me by someone that made professional orthotics in the medical field. My feet pronate and cause alignment issues in my knees and hips.I have worn these shoes and nothing but this model of shoe for 3 yrs at my job.I get a new pair about every 6 months. Which is excellent wear considering my job, the chemicals I use, and the amount I walk. They are definitely waterproof to a point. Would I step in 5" of water? No. But I hose out kennels all day and my feet stay dry. The vapor barrier inside allows your feet to breathe. Which in waterproof boots is rare.I have zero break in time with each pair. They are worth the (sale) price. (I buy them when they go on sale. Which is frequently).Traction in these is great. Slippery muck and detergent don't bother me.I've tried 4-5 other work boot brands. Including the big ones. None of them held up like Keens or felt as good.

Comfortable and sturdy
Best boots. Absolutely love them. My ankle is fused and my feet are flat, which causes most of my shoes to wear goofy. These have held up the most of anything I've bought. My feet actually fit in their wide size, which is wonderful. I've been contracting for a handful of years and they've held up well.

Holds up well.
Heavy duty comfortable boot. Goodyear welt type sole instead of the typical glue on. Waterproof so far. Bit heavy.

Very comfortable, no break in period.
I like this Keen boot! In my job, foot protection is essential; however, I also find myself in tight spaces where heavier foot protection would make it cumbersome. The boots provide the right amount of protection for what I do while also being lightweight and moving quickly in all situations. The best part is there was virtually no break-in period. Although I wish the toe cap was slightly wider, they immediately felt comfortable, which is a minor pet peeve. I do a lot of kneeling and bending in my job. So I appreciate the bellows over the bridge of the foot. They allow you to flex your foot without the boot cutting into the top foot, which has always been an issue with other work boots I've owned. Durability would be a question for another day since I've only had them for a few months, but they seem to be holding up great so far. So far, no regrets about this purchase.

The perfect union of comfort and protection for couriers
As a courier since 2020, these have been the best boots to date. I've had them on the sorting floor, the airport, on the truck, in government buildings and they've strived everytime. No hassle with security (due to the composite toe for protection) and they stay ultra comfortable even on 8+ hour shifts. Keen is king.

Unbearably Uncomfortable
I recently purchased the KEEN Utility Men's Kansas City Mid Waterproof Comp Toe Boot, and I couldn't be more disappointed with my purchase. These boots are advertised as durable and suitable for various work conditions, but my experience has been nothing short of unpleasant. The first glaring issue is the extreme rigidity of these boots. Walking in them feels like attempting to move with blocks of concrete strapped to your feet. The lack of flexibility makes every step a chore and turns a simple stroll into a grueling task. It's not an exaggeration to say that walking with these boots on is virtually impossible. The toe area is particularly problematic. The composite toe, which is supposed to provide protection, ends up mistreating your toes instead. The lack of sufficient padding and cushioning in the toe box makes each step uncomfortable, and over time, it feels like your toes are constantly being subjected to undue pressure and stress. The design seems to prioritize safety at the expense of basic comfort, leaving you questioning the practicality of wearing these boots for any extended period.Additionally, the break-in period for these boots is excruciating. I expected a brief adjustment period, as with any new footwear, but the stiffness persists long after it should, leaving your feet sore and fatigued. In conclusion, the KEEN Utility Men's Kansas City Mid Waterproof Comp Toe Boot falls short in terms of comfort and usability. I would strongly advise against purchasing these boots if you value your walking experience and the well-being of your feet. There are plenty of other options on the market that offer both safety and comfort without compromising on either. Save yourself the hassle and discomfort, and look elsewhere for your work boot needs.
