Comfortable, durable boots

Pros:ComfortableSupportiveWaterproofDurable (for the most part)Grippy treadWedge soleComposite toeWide-ish standard sizeRoomy toe boxCons:Leather over the toe is not abrasion resistantSoles eventually separated at the toeThis is my second pair of Keen Cincinnati composite toe boots. I bought my first pair (6” model) approaching 5 years ago. Admittedly I used them well past their prime, but they are still extremely comfortable and supportive. I’ve bought 3 other pairs of boots during that time, the others fell short in comfort and durability, and each time I went back to these boots. On average I have chosen to use these boots probably 70% of the time, even as they got old.I work in a smaller ship yard in the Pacific Northwest. Lots of steel and aluminum structure to climb around and work on, and a fair amount of rain to work in. The wedge soles are stable provide heaps of grip even on angle iron and piping, coupled with the 6” ankle. My new pair is the 8” boot which is even more supportive. The old boots are still effectively waterproof, though I imagine if I stepped in ankle deep water my feet wouldn’t be completely dry any longer. The boots are lined so bumps and small impacts aren’t as uncomfortable as unlined ones and the composite toe keeps them light(er than steel toes). Like other Keens the toe box is roomy and doesn’t pinch as you walk. The stock insole is quite good as well. I never had to replace them for reasons other than foot funk prevention. As for problems I’ve had, the soft leather over the comp toe wore very quickly when kneeling on grit-blasted aluminum. Toe protection is a must, which detracts from the style of the boot. But it’s work, not a fashion show. After 2 years or so, the sole on the toe of the right boot started to separate. I shoe-goo’d it back down and it lasted another almost two years.

Great work boot

These boots are definitely comfortable if you are on your feet all day.The water proof ones are very well insulated so they will make your feet sweat if you are working in a hot environment so heads up.

Dependable and Comfortable Work Boots

I recently purchased the KEEN Utility Men's Cincinnati 8-inch Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boots and have found them to be a dependable and comfortable choice for my work needs. These work boots offer a blend of functionality, durability, and comfort that has impressed me.The waterproof feature of these boots has been particularly useful, keeping my feet dry and comfortable even in wet and rainy conditions. The composite toe offers protection without the added weight of traditional steel-toed boots, making them comfortable to wear throughout the day.The cushioned footbed and supportive midsole provide excellent comfort and shock absorption, reducing foot fatigue during long work shifts. The boots are lightweight yet sturdy, offering both protection and flexibility for various work environments. While I appreciate the overall performance of these work boots, I have found that the sizing runs slightly large, so I recommend sizing down for a better fit. Overall, the KEEN Utility Men's Cincinnati Work Boots have proven to be a reliable and comfortable option for demanding work environments.

Using substandard materials.

Upper boot is very good quality but tread separates from the soles with very little use. This happened on multiple pairs.

MADE IN CHINA! :( That said.......

These boots are made in China and not the USA as stated. I even specifically asked the question and was told USA. When I received them and saw they were made in China I wanted to immediately return them but I needed boots so I kept them. The pair of boots I ordered was listed as a "Returned Item - Used Like New" and there was a significant discount. They looked fantastic and I couldn't tell they were ever even used. They do seem a little "big" physically on the outside but fit my feet fine. I wear an 11D in all the name-brand boots (Redwing, Thoughood, Timberland, etc) and these were no exception. I wore them for a few hours a day around the house for two weeks until I decided to keep them. They seem to be made good and are supposed to be waterproof. I decided to condition them with some SNO SEAL for some extra protection. The SNO SEAL darkened them up a little. Time will tell if they will hold up but I have a feeling they will be just fine.

Outside doesn't hold up

These boots are comfortable but the outer sole is falling apart. I bought them May 1st and the outside is junk now after 4.5 months.
