Comfort for long work days

These were comfortable right out of the box with no break in necessary. The fit is good with plenty of room for a wide foot. So far that have proved to be waterproof and wearing well.

KEEN!!! What happened?? (unbiased review)

Lets get right into this...I love Keen Boots, always been a big fan of their products but when they miss the mark I'm going to tell everyone.First the good: The boots are light weight, spongy comfortable (looking) soles, stitching looked great, materials seemed to be qualityThe bad: IT DOESNT FIT and the laces are too shortKeen...What happened with this boot?It checks many of the boxes I was looking for but I cant get the boot on my foot.I wear a size 12 wide and this thing felt at best like a 10.5" narrow.I double and even triple checked the box and the tag inside the boot because I have never put on a pair for keens that fit that tight in my life. Many years under my belt wearing safety boots and shoes, so I know all about break in periods and the new boot fit but this goes way beyond that. This boot felt way undersized.I took out all of the laces and tried squeezing my foot inside and it just wasn't going to happen.Could these have been mislabeled? Maybe.Could there have been a stitching error? Possibly.Either way, there was no way my foot was going into this boot much less work 10-12 hour shifts in them if it did.I own the Keen Targhee 2 and 3 hiking boots, Philadelphia work boots, Cincinnati work boots, K-20 insoles, etc.Never has any boot fit this tight.Again, I really wanted to love these because it did check a lot of boxes for me but unfortunately, they are being returned asap.I would be curious to hear if I just received a defective pair of boots or is this just the way the Evanston boot is cut.If you have wide feet and prefer a wide toe box, check out the Keen Philadelphia boots, they hold up pretty well and they are roomy in the toes. The Cincinnati boots also fit well and are great for long standing jobs like manufacturing . Philly's are more rugged and I find the Cincinnati boots to be a little more comfortable but less rugged.

I like my Keen footwear

I have recently discovered Keen footwear since I have wide feet. I have a pair of casual shoes, running shoes and now I have purchased these boots. I've been wearing them on very short outings and I'm still trying to get them broke in and avoid all the blisters and sore feet that go with that process. So far so good. The boots are fairly comfortable for being stiff and new. They fit great with a nice wide toe box for my wide feet. I'm confident that once they're fully broken in, I'll get my moneys worth out of them. So far, all the Keen footwear I have purchased have been excellent quality.

NOT WATERPROOF, WET SOCKS, FAILING BUILD QUALITY

I use this boot for delivering mail in Boston, MA. I am a USPS worker. In this winter season, I march through ankle deep snow for over 5 miles a day, sometimes over 10 miles. Within 45 days the build quality of the boot degrades rapidly. Water from rain, snow, and puddles that I have to walk through seep into the boots, EVEN THROUGH SOLES OF THE SHOE. It's been 90 days so far of using the boots for work. Today, I came home and my socks were completely wet from the bottom?? The soles are failures to waterproofing. The seams and stitching let water in. "Keen.DRY" is more like a keen lie. I noticed cold water sensations on the soles of my feet and couldn't believe that water was actually getting in from the bottom/soles of the boots. It just doesn't make any sense. All of the stitching and seams on the boots also let water in. Any edges you see on the boot, let water in. I'll have to put up with these failures for a while until I try something better. These are worth $50 or less. NOT $150.-NOT DURABLE-NOT WATERPROOF-DO NOT USE IF YOU INTEND TO BE ANKLE DEEP IN ANYTHING WET FOR EVEN 20% OF YOUR JOB. (EVEN WHEN FULLY LACED UP TIGHT)YOU WILL REGRET THIS PURCHASE.
