The best part I think besides the comfort of course is ...
I have bought keens for the last three years as they are the only brand that will last me a whole year. The last pair I bought were the Cleveland model, very well made but the glue holding the bottom on peeled away from the side of the boots a little but not enough to leak or come off any more than just a bit. The two pairs before that were the Detroits. Those held up for a whole year also. The best part I think besides the comfort of course is the rubber cover over the toes. I'm very hard on my boots and the other brands I've tried before all wore a hole in the top of the toes from being on the cement floor on my knees so much. The rubber cover holds up much better than leather of the timberlands and dr. Martin's and Carolinas I've had in previous years. They all got so bad that the steel toe cap actually fell out of the hole so I knew it was time for a change. This new pair of size 13 ee mt. Vernon boots are holding up better than all other boots from any brand I've tried even before said keens. They have the locking laces two speed laces from the top like all my previous keens and they're just plain comfy. I'll never buy from another brand again unless I get a couple pairs of lemons in a row. They're made in America too. They are a bit expensive but I believe you get what you pay for and they'll go down in price in the next year or two. They feel well made and the stitching is flawless and triple stitched. Great quality and longevity I'd only expect from keen.

Great Boots
I'm on my second pair of these Keen boots. I have to wear steel toe boots for work. I consistently wear them at least 12 hours a day and they are very comfortable. They provide great traction on oily surfaces and ice and are water poof enough that your feet will stay dry walking through about 3 inches of standing water. I wear them with slip-in insoles just to keep the inside of the boot from wearing down. My last pair lasted two years. Apart from function, they look great and are made in the USA. I will continue to keep purchasing these as long as they keep making them.

My new favorite boots.
I bought these to replace a previous pair of Keen Portland SafetyToe boots that have been discontinued. I had wore them out and tried several pairs of boots buying a expensive pair of Red Wings and still not happy with them. Then I saw this new model that looked almost like the Portland. So I ordered them and they seem to just be an updated version of the Portland with a better tread. I have wide feet and wear either a EE or H width boot and have a hard time finding safety toes that fit comfortably but these are the best fitting boot I've ever tried and I can get by with a regular width so they do run wide. I farm so I spend time doing everything from lots of walking to shop work and they work great for all of it, light weight, waterproof, comfortable. I wore them all day the first day and they were only a little uncomfortable by the end of the day, by the second day they were broke in already.

Typical high quality product from Keen. A bit wider with a larger toe box than my other Keens.
This work boot offers a safety toe and waterproofing in a much lighter boot than other typical work boots. The boot offers good ankle and arch support as well. The fact that it is made in the US and was on sale as well made this a great buy.

Best shoe purchase!!
I am very impressed by these shoes. Unboxing them, I noticed how much lighter they were than I expected. The composite toe makes a big difference over steel. I wanted to break them in, so I wore them around the house and hiking the entire weekend. I even wore them on the treadmill. The fit was so good, there really wasn't a need. I walk 6-8 miles a day at work and never did have any discomfort, no sore spots or blisters. They are also very comfortable while riding my motorcycle. I purchased a pair of Kern outdoor sandals since because I was so impressed. I see a second pair in my near future.*update 11/01/2021. Bought my second pair after 2 years. Still impressed with this shoe.

Great comfortable boots.
I am a railroad switchman and walk on rocks all day and boots don't last long. I have been through many brands and most have hurt my feet and finally found boots that don't need to be broken in and are comfortable. I really like these boots and though I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability the comfort is amazing and I will be buying them again. Update: I've been wearing these for 11 months and they are still in great shape and really comfortable. If they weren't so dirty I'd wear them all the time, one thing I can say for sure is they aren't waterproof as they leak not long after they get wet. I changed the footbed out to a more cushioned gell insole as the factory one was too still. I will definitely be buying these again.Update: I’ve had these almost a year now and they are definitely not waterproof. We had a week of rain last week and they stayed wet I mean soaked within thirty minutes of being in the rain. They now smell like cat urine inside from being wet and I’m trying to fix that because I love these boots and have never had boots last like these or as comfortable. The smell is really annoying though and I’ve never had smelly feet or boots before. I’m considering buying another pair.

Didn't last as long as I would have hoped.
Great boots, but, didn't last as long as I would have expected. This is my second pair owned, first were purchased directly from Keen.Purchased June 25, 2023. I have wore these boots for just under 14 months and they are starting to fail. I have worked inside a manufacturing facility for the entire time, wearing 5 days a week. My first pair lasted well over 2 years before the leather started to split, those were wore in all the types of outside weather.
