Disappointed... but with comfortable feet I suppose

Been mostly a Merrell guy, but had some Keen sandals over the years. My podiatrist told me to try Keen's with the ReGen sole. I will say, they are very comfortable, hence the 2 stars. However, I purchased these shoes just about 8 months ago, and they're beginning to fall apart. First problem however is that the "KEEN.BELLOWS FLEX technology" (the odd rubber accordion on top of the toe box) is uncomfortable, takes much longer to 'break in.' Sort of the opposite of it's purpose. And now it starting to separate from the toe box, and has cracks appearing in it. Very dissappointed that this shoe didn't last longer. Tempted to try another ReGen soled shoe, because of the comfort... but if this shoe speaks to the durability of Keen's build, then I think I'm right to be hesitant. If you're looking for ReGen, I'd try one of the other models.
