My husband loves these! He works from home and still chooses to wear these every day. He is very flat footed too and these are super comfortable to him. They are durable, high quality, excellent shoes for the price. He will probably be getting another pair for Father’s Day- haha.
I work at a coffee shop and spend a lot of time on my feet. I love Keen shoes. I own 10 different types of Keens. Love them. I’ve tried the PVC Workshoe but have had a few duds and became frustrated. When I saw this soft toe shoe that was Slip Resistant, I was so stoked!They fit true to size and take a few times to break in. I would liken it to having to break in a Doc Marten. But these are medium weight whereas previous Docs might feel heavy.I love the classy look of these tan shoes. I love how comfortable they are for all day standing and loving.Highly recommend if you are in the restaurant industry like I am!!
Glad Keen made a soft toe shoe that’s available in wide. Having tried several wide shoes with carbon toes, I found they squeeze my toes together too much. These soft toe pairs leave my toes comfortable. The shoes look great, feel good, and walk well. I wish Keen would make more shoes, like the Arvada ones, soft toe too.
They are comfortable for being a low boot. Despite that, I am extremely disappointed in Keen. The boot laces have both came apart within 2 months!!!! Makes it almost impossible to tie these things. And I'm not wearing them on a jobsite either, we're talking casually in an office setting. I would've thought for as much as these were for what you're getting, Keen would have happily sent me new laces. I went through their cust. svc. and even sent pictures. Nope, they just sent me a link where I could buy these. They said oh yeah we have a 1 year warranty....except for the laces!!. Really?? So quality is an issue with these folks, beware of this, add the cost of a few extra laces to their price before you buy!! Disappointed!
Low top work boots aren’t easy to find. Sure, they have tennis shoe “work boots” but these are real leather boots with super tough laces and non marking soles. They come in wide widths too. After I bought my first pair and wore them for a couple weeks, I bought 2 more pairs. For some reason whenever I find a good boot, they stop making them and I wanted to be sure I had extras. Probably going to buy a couple more.
I love Keen's. I have at least 3 pairs of soft toe, non waterproof San jose 6 inch boots.LOVE THEM! I rarely wear my pair of my soft toe 6 inch waterproof SJ's unless it's really cold and really wet. They're nice to have but they are not as comfortable to me as the regular leather ones. I tried these work shoes hoping for less weight and being cooler in the summer. They look nice, seem well made and were a fair price but they are not comfortable to walk in at all. I do not know why. I installed a new set of solé foot beds as always. They're the same ones I put in all my shoes and boots. The discomfort is not only in the soles of my feet but a long the tops of my feet closest to my smaller toes. I would love to hear if anyone else has had the same experience.I can't wear them all day like the boots so I try to keep breaking them in ( which shouldn't be this hard) a few hours most days and then switch. Sorry Keen. I'm a faithful customer for years and years. I've been disappointed with my last two purchases. The others were returned. I'm determined to find comfort in these SJ's but not sure when.
The wide sizes are made in a different factory (Thailand) than the regular sizes (India). The Indian shoes have noticeably more high quality leather and the cuts and stitching are substantially better. Keen really should let people know in the product description that there is a difference between the two types of shoes, and should do a better job ensuring consistent quality between their various production sites.Other than that, the regular-width shoe is great. Very comfortable, looks great, and feels very high quality and durable.If I was reviewing the wides, I would give them 1 star. The quality just isn't good enough for the price, and the pair that I received had a very strange permanent fold in the leather upper of the right foot above the toe knuckles. It looked weird, and when the shoe bent during a normal step, the fold pressed against the top of my foot and was quite uncomfortable. This was clearly an isolated defect, but the lower quality in general looks to be a more universal problem that is really not acceptable.
