All day comfort, light, breathable, safety toe shoes.

I've been wearing Keen work boots and shoes for 8 years now. I've always cycled between the Detroit low and mid for different seasons, but I wanted something a bit more light and airy for the hot summer where my shop typically hits 90-95 by 3pm. Ugh.Out of the box, they fit and feel pretty much like comfy yet sturdy tennis shoes, like new balances. Obviously they weigh a touch more than regular shoes, but not much. Thankfully I haven't REALLY tested the safety toe on these shoes, however I'm assuming they're just as safe as the ones in the Detroit boots which I tested with having a 280lb engine drop from a faulty cherry picker right onto my foot several years back. Ever since that day, I don't risk regular shoes in the shop. The lace holes look to be reliable, possibly even reinforced which was a gripe I had with the Detroit low shoes and their loops that eventually tear. The included laces are a bit dynamic and stay tight without double knotting which is nice. The mesh outer collects dirt like a magnet, but they blow clean with an air gun easily enough.I like these shoes enough and they're comfortable enough where I wear them outside of work plenty. Big part of the reason I stick with Keens that last 2 years instead of something like Redwing that might last longer at the expense of comfort.

Shoe meets every need but, lacks waterproofing.

I was looking for a new work shoewith steel toe and waterproofing. I wanted an all purpose shoe because I do a lot of walking and driving. I really like Keen's design, went ahead and bought it even though it lacked a waterproof feature. The shoe has a steel toe feature which is actually light and comfortable. The lack of waterproofing is a bummer... But, its not a deal breaker for these shoes. It does Handel some water but I wouldn't go into deep puddles. The shoes make alot of noise when walking on flat surfaces ( shiny floors, office tiles). It sounds like you just came out from the rain ( still not a deal breaker for me).Overall, I really like the shoes! So nice and comfy and don't regret buying them. So if you want a unique shoe with protection, get this one. But don't step in to big puddles.

Second month in, so far so good

I got these as we have a work requirement for safety toe shoes on those uncommon occasions where I head into the warehouse. I'm usually at my desk doing any number of tasks, so I opted for a lightweight alloy toe shoe-- I figure it's like a foam bike helmet. I still have a pair of leather Keen shoes I bought about 10 years ago, so I figured I would give these a shot. The feel is secure, with a bit of roominess in the toe box. I appreciate shoes that don't squish my toes together, because otherwise I get blistered toes. At the same time it doesn't feel like I'm sliding around in the shoes, they feel secure and comfy. I tend to get arch fatigue after long walks (like at trade shows and conventions), and I don't feel the insoles being particularly supportive there, but I don't plan on going to conventions with these. These claim to be rated for ESD, but I don't have an environment designed to take advantage of that feature, and I still get static zaps unless I'm hooked up to an ESD strap. Maybe if I set up a workstation complete with ESD dissipating floor I'll see how effective these shoes are.One thing I wish was better is breathability. The interior turns into a sauna rather easily, compelling me to pull the shoes off and air them out at least once a day. This might be a thing with safety toe work shoes, but it was a bit of a bummer.

Most confortable shoes I've ever worn!!!!!

Yes, I am a " man of a certian age" and I can't have a large pizza and a six pack for dinner any more. Yes my feet can hurt, and we all work on our feet. I went over to Keen five years ago. I love their boots for support and the look. But the Keen boots took some time to break in and would become very comfortable boots.BUT not the Sparta!, they are the best low oxford boot ever. They fit as promised and are simple awesome as a daily shoe. I have a size 12 wide foot, and these shoes are the absolute best.

Comfortable shoes, bad quality

The grommet holes that your shoe strings go through come out easily and the string will start to tear the shoe material. If you wear a size 12, I recommend you order a 13. Other than that, it’s a fairly comfortable work shoe.

Worth the money

This is the third pair of Keen’s I have bought and the second that had either steel or alloy toe protection. They fit great and look nice. They are relatively light as well. I only had them for a week and I haven’t slipped yet. I work in a food prep area part of the day and the floor is slippery. They are worth the money and I recommend them.I have issues with plantar fasciitis. I usually ga e to buy arch supports to remedy this. I think it would be cool if I had a choice of work shoes that offered better arch support built-in, so I would not have to buy another item. They lasted almost a year. I threw them out today when the replacements arrived.I walk about 10 miles a day.

Comfortable and lightweight

Great value. Stylish and lightweight. They even have static dissipation if you need that. Feet stay relatively cool compared to similar shoes. By far, the most comfortable steel-toed shoe I've ever worn.
