The KEEN Utility Women's Atlanta Cool 2 ESD Low Height Breathable Steel Toe Work Shoes are designed specifically for women who require protective footwear without sacrificing comfort or breathability. These shoes incorporate advanced safety features while ensuring your feet remain cool and comfortable throughout the workday.

Features

  • Steel Toe: Left and right asymmetrical, wider steel toes provide maximum comfort and meet ASTM F2412 and F2413 ESD 35 compression and impact safety standards.
  • Fit & Design: Built on a women's-specific last that is wider than the industry norm, ensuring an improved fit and comfort. Sizes are true to size; consider going a half size larger for extra toe space.
  • Traction: Oil- and slip-resistant, non-marking rubber outsoles with siped designs improve traction and meet ASTM F1677-96 and F2913 SATRA standards.
  • Shock Reduction: ESD construction reduces excess static electricity by safely conducting charges from the body to the ground, crucial for environments around electronics and machinery.
  • Support & Comfort: Features KEEN. ReGEN technology, offering lightweight, compression-resisting midsoles that provide 50% more energy return than standard EVA foam and include removable PU insoles for added comfort.

Pros

  • Excellent protection with steel toe design that doesn't compromise comfort.
  • Breatheable material helps keep your feet cool in warm work environments.
  • Great traction, reducing the risk of slips and falls on various surfaces.
  • Designed specifically for women, providing a more comfortable and tailored fit.
  • ESD properties make them safe for use around sensitive electronic equipment.

Cons

  • Some users may find the fit too wide if they have narrower feet.
  • The initial break-in period could be uncomfortable for some wearers.
  • Price point may be higher compared to non-steel toe alternatives.

The end of my body aches

I stand all night long on concrete floors for work - 45 hours a week. I always wore the most cushioned running shoes because I have high arches. I thought sneakers were the best option for me but then someone mentioned work boots specifically for concrete. I have worn these for about 6 weeks now and my body aches have almost disappeared! These shoes are made for standing on concrete and they are very comfortable! They are a bit heavy compared to sneakers but I got used to them. I did have to find the right socks since I am in Florida. It was difficult and I have yet to go through the summer heat but the shoes have vents so that should help immensely. Also, the steel toe is a bonus for me. I never have to worry about my feet again. I just hope Keen makes these forever!Update 9-9-22Without thick socks (too Hot for FL), my feet started sliding around and rubbing the outside of my big toes. It was enough to cause pain, so I added a 3/4 insert (heel to arch) to stop the movement. It worked great! Also, the original laces broke a few months ago. Not a huge loss as I didn't really like them so I replaced with ones that tie. The new laces allow me to tighten more. As of today, the shoes are showing a lot of wear. I expect this with all I put them through. I am hoping they will last for at least a year since the price is not cheap! Still happy with my choice.

All day comfort for those 12 hours shifts

I don't think twice about putting on my work shoes. Supports really well when your on your feet all day standing on hard floors. I even take them to go hiking in because of the tread on the soles I don't worry about the terrain I'm walking on if I will slip or fall. Plus the comfort of having a great pair of shoes that I can do both in is great. Well worth the money.

Great quality shoes from a company right here in the “good ole USA”.

Great fitting shoe to the right size right out of the box. Shoe is designed and constructed well! After weeks of wear very happy with the purchase and feel of Keen. The prime try before you buy is an excellent program and went very smoothly, we recommend.

Perfect!

I love these shoes!I work at a construction material lab, where I am on my feet all day. Some debris does get into the shoe due to the low profile, but not a big deal. So comfy and provide exactly what I need. I struggle with finding shoes as I have big toes that have a slightly upward curve. I HAVE to buy large toe box shoes. These have that and have great insoles. I usually buy separate insoles for my shoes, but these are fine on their own. I'm on my feet all day and have had minimal foot fatigue. The slip on factor works great. They are also not hideous. No complaints, will not buy any other safety toe shoes!

Comfy!

Light as air, almost as if I'm wearing slippers to work. Only down size is the laces got frayed so when I'm skipping across elevated situations I have to make sure I don't slip out my shoe. Other than that they are SO comfy, and I don't even have inserts in them yet

Not an ESD shoe

Firstly, I love these shoes and kept them because they are very comfortable and well made. However, I bought them because they were described as an ESD shoe (which is what I needed) but they’re not. They are an SD shoe which is written on the tongue of the shoe. Hopefully Amazon will get that description fixed.
