Love my new work boots. Within a week my feet stopped hurting, totally impressed!
Bought these for my mom, who works driving tractors out in the fields. She absolutely loved them! She said they're lightweight and easy to break in, and will eventually buy another pair just in case anything happens to her current pair!
I bought these for my son since he’s been helping me more with outdoor projects, and he needed something tougher than regular sneakers. These immediately felt like the right choice. The composite toe keeps the weight down, but still gives him solid protection when he’s moving lumber or climbing around equipment. He said the fit felt comfortable right away, and he didn’t have any rubbing or sore spots after the first full day wearing them. He’s already tested them in plenty of wet conditions, and the waterproofing has held up really well. His socks stayed dry even after walking through wet grass and puddles. The traction has been great too. He mentioned that he feels steady on gravel, mud, and on the sloped ground behind our property. The build quality looks excellent. The stitching is clean, the materials feel strong, and they look like they’ll last him a long time even with how hard he is on his gear. He likes the way they look too, which is a bonus because it means he doesn’t mind wearing them for everyday stuff.Overall, these have been a solid purchase and exactly what he needed. Comfortable, protective, and genuinely useful for both work and hiking.
I got these hikers for the winter weather walks to the bus stop. First look they are extremely well made leather uppers with a mix of materials for the cushioning. My only complaint is they have steel toe guards. Now they were listed as hikers so I was not pleased to find the heavy duty steel toe guards. Overall they are extremely well made, slightly high priced boots which well last for quite awhile.
The KEEN Utility Skokie Hiker Mid Waterproof boots are a solid choice for workers looking for a blend of durability, protection, and comfort. These boots stand out immediately for how lightweight they feel compared to traditional work boots, thanks to the carbon-fiber safety toe. While not as heavy as a steel toe, the protection still feels reliable, and the toe box doesn’t intrude on foot space, which helps reduce fatigue during long shifts. The waterproofing on these boots performs well in wet conditions, keeping feet dry without making the boots feel overly warm or bulky. The upper is made from leather with reinforced stitching that feels durable and well-constructed. There’s also a nice balance between structure and flexibility, giving the boots a sneaker-like feel while still offering ankle support appropriate for medium-duty job sites. One of the best features is the energy-returning midsole, which noticeably reduces foot strain throughout the day. The outsoles have a high-traction tread pattern that performs well on slippery or uneven terrain. A 90-degree heel adds stability for ladder work or angled surfaces, making these boots versatile for construction, maintenance, and similar work environments.Overall, these boots hit a sweet spot for anyone needing protection without sacrificing mobility or comfort. They may not be suited for heavy-duty industrial use, but for jobs that involve moving between tasks or environments, the KEEN Skokie Hiker boots provide dependable performance in a lightweight, well-designed package.
garbage hurts my feet i bought a wide but the felt tight now i have heel pain don’t buy if your a fatty like me
Considering how stiff the soles of these boots are, they are very comfortable. I appreciate the wide toe box, which provides plenty of room for my toes to behave the way they should for grip and stabilization - I despise shoes that cramp my toes. These KEEN boots are attractive and not heavy at all - certainly nowhere as heavy as they look. The carbon composite toe appears to be functional, but I don't know if it would hold up to accidents the way steel toes do. I don't intend to be using them industrially, so that's not super important.I ordered these in the summer and am reviewing them the second day of autumn in the midwest, so I can't really say how warm they are, but I would happily give them a go in the middle of winter. Even though they are my size (7.5) and fit great with regular socks, I do not think they would feel cramped with wool socks on, especially with the wide toe box.The speed-lacing function makes them easy to put on and take off, as well as adjusting the tightness - another reason I think they will be great with thick socks.I haven't worn these in wet weather yet, so I can't attest to them keeping my feet dry, but I do know KEEN's reputation for quality, so I am not worried about that.
