We are going to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Grand Canyon and Navajo Nation this summer, I needed trail shoes for my kids, and these from Keen seem and feel very high quality. Better than what you will find at regular shoe stores. This are made to be rugged, for adventure.
My kid likes them and we got more use out of them than expected on many mile+ hikes.
I have two rough and tumble outdoors boys. They LOVE these boots! They have been worn and loved during hikes, snowstorm, watching rainy baseball games, and so much more! They also love these boots support the boots give their ankles during slippery creek walks -“ my feet aren’t wobbly mommy! My boots are helping me splash!”. I love the look and how sleek they have stayed throughout their usage! The fit is true to size, and remains comfortable even when thick socks are needed!
Keen SZ 5 big kid not hook and loop as pictured 2 times tried_ordered it comes in elastic laces. I will stick with merrell brand hook/loop for my special needs son. Beautiful shoes that I wanted badly but doesn't meet my son's needs. Heart broken but will keep it this time.
I have 4 pairs of keen outdoor boots. Three pairs are winter boots and I love them. I wanted a pair of waterproof hiking boots for Michigan fall weather in wooded areas. These were great.
June 29th, 2025.We have always bought Keen for our family, kids, and adults. The quality is getting worse and worse. We have had these since mid-May, and they are already falling apart. Just from regular use at school. They look a bit dirty as we are weeding and dirt has covered them.
My 10-year-old son loved these boots. They’re warm and comfortable.
