Comfortable with no break in period
These hiking boots are comfortable as soon as you put them on. No break in period required! They are durable and well made. The fit is great if you are used to “wider” toe boxes that don’t squish your toes! They are fairly lightweight and not heavy to hike with. The first time I wore them I did a 2 mile hike and had no blisters or discomfort which never happens with new hiking boots! I got these on sale at an insane value for the money. I would highly recommend these books if your a hiker!

Excellent boots all round - traction, comfort, warmth and waterproof
These boots served me well in Norway on a long arduous hike. They never slipped at all on wet boulders. They were easy to break in and I am so happy I bought them. These are the first Keens I have owned and I am beyond pleased. Also the waterproofing was tested and they passed with flying colors. I was warm even in sleet and 30 degree temp at the top.

Design flaw
From having read numerous reviews of different styles of Keen hiking boots, it is apparent that quality control has gone downhill.I have had a pair of Keen hiking boots for 8 years, and they have been all over the world with me. I still wear them, as they are comfortable, in great shape, and still waterproof beyond any Goretex shoe I have ever purchased. At that time they were made in the US, but not anymore. So I was hoping to find a new pair, for when my old pair finally die.I am still in the process of of trying different Keen styles, having now tried 5 different ones. The sizing, fit, and comfort vary significantly, even 2 pairs that were identical in style and size. Poor consistency. The Circadia boot is comfortable, although it could have a cushier footbed, with more arch support, and it is attractive. If it wasn't for the negative reviews, I would say they look well made, similar to my old pair, but I am very concerned about so many soles peeling off Keen's boots, and that many boots were not waterproof. But since I have only tried them on briefly, and indoors, I cannot comment on that yet. What is a concern, and really my only one so far, is that the tongue is not wide enough to tuck snuggly under the sides of the boot, and I have fairly skinny ankles. Maybe this will not be an issue, but unlike all the other syles, where the tongues were wide enough, it is what is preventing me from making the final decision to keep or return these boots. One more consideration: according to some of the reviews, apparently Keen stands behind their products and will issue a refund for defective items. That knowledge is helpful, as it may take a year for the boot to fall apart, hopefully it won't, and then returns to Amazon are no longer possible, so Keen's policy might be the saving grace in taking a chance in buying their comfy boots.

Not leather, doesn't last
I keep coming back to Keen's because I like the roomy toe box, but the boots just don't last. Furthermore, I bought this model because it claims that the uppers are 100% leather. That is false. I don't know whether there's any leather, but there's definitely some synthetic, which has cracked. It's no longer waterproof. I'm going to have to look for another brand.
