Great Sandals Made Even Better
I've been wearing the Keen Elle Backstrap Sandals for a couple of years and really liked them. But, in the last few months, I noticed that the elastic in the strap had stretched slightly and the sandals had become looser. But luckily Keen now sells the Elle Criss Cross Sandal which is a slightly modified version of the original Backstrap Sandal - in the newer version, the strap is specifically adjustable, so I'll be able to adjust the strap if it loosens with use. Additionally, the footbed is cork which looks great and is slightly more comfortable (the footbed on the Elle Backstrap Sandals was always comfortable, but this cork footbed is even better). I love these modified sandals and plan to buy another pair.

Cork bends and pinches
I wanted to like these, but as others have said, the insole is uncovered cork. The material is wonderful, but the cork creases when I walk and pinches the ball of my foot. Had to return them.

Stick to your normal size
I’m glad I got them on sale. They’re cute to be sure but one of the sandals doesn’t hold the Velcro. Also Amazon told me to get a 9.5 when I’m a 8.5 to 9 normally but that didn’t work at all. Stick to your size. Good support, comfy for regular walking.

Update: Cute and super comfy and bad quality of sole!
I ordered the baked clay color in size 10. I’m 5’8” and typically wear at 10 in sandals so these are true to size.They have a nice smooth real cork footbed which makes them so comfortable and dry in summer heat. The arch support is good and similar to other Keen sandals I have owned in the past. The arch support is good and similar to other Keen sandals I have owned in the past.In typical Keen design the toe box is round and wide so if you have narrow feet these may be too wide and there is no way to snug up the straps. The straps are a combination of leather and quality elastic and seem durable. The straps are soft and comfortable from the start.The one star off is for the Velcro closure on the heel strap- for the price of the shoes, I think it should have been a more durable buckle closure. I also feel lien they should not get wet in the rain as they may fall apart because of the cork footbed.Overall happy with them and they will work for me as a sunny summer day sandal.Update:So, the sole quality is sub par for such a pricey shoe. I wore these maybe 6 times, each time for only about 3-4 hours, not a lot of walking, nice smooth sidewalks or indoors.I typically do not wear out my soles for years, my gait is pretty even.See the photos of the wear on the heels and more importantly the compression of the EVA midsole. What the heck? This is a $120 pair of shoes!I remember when Keen made shoes that lasted a decade and I am not exaggerating!They are comfy and cute but I honestly am angry that the quality is so poor.

Extremely comfortable
I've worn Keen sandals for many years, and have been happy to see the company gradually come out with more styles that are not just for hiking. I have really picky feet and have had surgeries for arthritis. The Rose sandals have been my go-to for at least 6 years but I wanted something without the toe guard that would look nicer going out to dinner. These are perfect! Very comfortable and supportive with a sole that has a nice amount of cushion (and makes you a little taller too!). My feet are medium in width and these fit very well. I did NOT go up 1/2 size as I would for athletic shoes. I am really happy with them and also bought the Brindle color, a great neutral for everyday wear. These are not for hiking! But for everyday travel or around town they are perfect.
