Very Wide!

I ordered these in my usual size 9M, and my feet were swimming in them. Even with thick socks and orthotic inserts. No complaints though, as the seller sent free return label and promptly refunded full price. Re-ordered size 8.5M and my feet were still sliding around until I tried two pairs of socks, which solved the problem. Really these boots should not be labled "M". I can't take off a star because they are great boots, but they are wider than any "medium" boot I have ever worn. The top part around the ankle is made of fabric that has some give in it, so they don't cut into the ankle as some boots do. They give you the ankle support without the pain. If you like arch support you will probably want to add an insert. The main reason I got these Keens is that my old hiking boots (which are part leather and part fabric - the kind that looks like netting) are no good in wet snow. Even though they have Gortex liners which keep the feet dry when I step into a stream or a puddle, they just don't stand up to a steady soaking of hiking through slushy snow. Wet feet are such a buzzkill. Today I wore the new Keans for an hour long hike in the miserable icy slush this last snowstorm gifted us and came home with very wet pant legs but very dry feet. The new boots are doing their job! (Why even go out in such weather? Gotta run the dogs.)Oh, and last but not least, love the red color. So cheerful!

comfy hiking right out of the box

Nice looking.Wide toe box, I have near flat, narrow feet but these fit great with laceup. Super comfy.Wore on 2 hour hilly hike in 25 degrees with breeze and fresh 3" snow; also snowed through hike. Wore thin wool socks and thick ones over.No issues; just a bit noticable inner ankle rub at end of hike on one boot, not unexpected on first wear on hills.Feet very warm/dry/toes felt great. For Keens I size up for winter boot from 9 to 10. With Merrells, though, I have to size up to 10 1/2.Will wear them for hike tomorrow in feels-like-9 degrees.Tongue adjusts nicely and stays put, laces don't budge.Seems good grip but tree roots under snow slippery; no issues though I chose not to use ice treks. Not stiff or heavy.Very comfortable warm Keen bootWomens Revel IIINext day Hike, day 2 of wear. Much colder. Had to change hike route bc friend had issues so instead of starting with steep climb in sun we started on flatter shaded area for 1st half hour. Wore same socks as yesterday, toes very cold bc we had to stop every few minutes for friend's ice trak issues. Once we started climbing in sun toes stayed warm remainder 2 1/2 hours of trip including downhill. Will wear extra socks when temp has feels of 7-9 degrees due to changeable hiking factors. Very comfy on day 2 as well.

Good but not the Best of Keen

For many years I've been wearing Keen shoes. Had a pair of very good quality hiking boots since 2008/9 lasted for more than 15 years (in the last couple years just wore them for my home project in winter time), only a few weeks ago decided to have let it go. it was so warm and comfortable - wearing them played in more than 12 inch snows for hours, each winter I didn't need another thicker shoes for the winter time. it was obviously much better quality than the new produces in recent years. Recently I was trying to find exact model/type of Keen boots still failed. in the end decided in this one, with higher shaft for protection, but this one is a bit hard comparing with my old ones, and feel a bit tight. I need a 6.5 Wide, but this model doesnt have a 6.5wide. 7 is a bit too long. just got this shoes last night, already tried them on in the house last night and wore them out this morning. I'm hoping after couple of weeks of wearing, it can become a bit more soft. Plus this shoe doesnt have more color options so I give 4 Stars

Everyone needs these!!!

My friend and I both bought these boots for a girls trip to Iceland. She purchased the red and I bought the black. These were by far the best boots I have ever had. I bought a size 7 (I wear a 6 for flipflops and 7 for tennis shoes) I wore them for walking in town, hiking trails, on the Black Sand Beach and even snowmobiling on a glacier in -5 degrees. I wore them with wool socks and never ONCE felt tight, cold, sweaty or cumbersome/clunky. The toe box has the perfect amount of room to wiggle your toes (I can feel claustrophobic if my shoes are too tight on my toes) and never felt cold or wet (they are also waterproof which is why you can use them for EVERYTHING!) they almost felt like a comfy room temp the whole time. They were sooo comfortable too with just the right about of support and cushion without being too stiff on the ankle. I will wear these until they fall off my feet and will recommend them to anyone who needs a great, waterproof winter boot. (They even looked super cute with leggings, wool socks and a pullover. :)

Keen quality has diminished

Ordered these to replace the same model purchased 4 years ago. The old pair were fantastic and comfortable. New pair is not nearly as comfortable as the old.

Perfect Everyday Work Boot

This is my second pair of these boots. I wear them for work five days a week through all four seasons and have not to date found a better boot. Right out of the box they feel broken in and there isn't the stiffness that comes with most leather boots. Worn throughout the winter they keep my feet warm and in summer they are still a good boot, I have not felt like my feet are too hot. The front of the boots have remained in tact and have not pulled away like many boots of these style often do. Some waterproofing spray or oil will definitely help extend the life and look of these. Based on other reviews, I order a half size up and they fit perfectly, especially with thicker socks (normally a US Women's 7.5 and ordered an 8 both times). After a decent amount of wear you will likely have to replace the laces, I made it about 9 months but this is typical for every day wear. My only improvement would be more choice of colors instead of the pink accents.
