Well made; fits well; recommend
I purchased these shoes for walking outdoors in MN with my dog as well as walking as a volunteer at a local zoo. I have wide feet with high arch; history of plantar fasciitis and use orthotic insoles. I also have hammer toes. Size I generally wear is 7 wide and these are plenty roomy in the toe box, even with the orthotics. I did remove the inserts that came with the shoes.These shoes are expensive! However, my previous Keen waterproof walking shoes are 10 years old and have finally worn the tread down on the heels. The material of the current shoe is softer, more flexible than my old pair. I did lace the shoe tighter as it is generally bigger overall than the shoe from 10 years ago. I have felt great walking the dog- in MN in January! Also used while volunteering. I have not tried them with any ice or snow yet and I have other Keen boots with special tread for ice/snow and will most likely switch to those.

OMG. THESE ARE SO VERY COMFORTABLE. I own 2 pairs of the targhee 3 and I think this is even more comfortable than the 3. These shoes have elimatated my foot pain that I suffered from for 3 plus years. Incredible

Women’s Sizing Way Off - too too big!!!
So I have purchased many Keen hiking shoes over the years & love them. I am usually a 7 or 7.5 womens. I had read in previous Amazon reviews that they may run large so I bought size 7 in these Targhee IV. Look at the pics for a size 7 compared to my foot & compared to a size 7 in Keen’s Targhee III! They are HUGE! First I thought I got the wrong shoe in a size 7 box or maybe a Men’s size 7……but nope, they are a Woman’s size 7 on the shoe label that matches the number on the box. Keen messed up with manufacturing this one in my opinion. The quality looks great & beautiful colors & they look sturdy but returning because I dont need clown shoes for hiking in the mountains unfortunately. (I’m reluctant now to even order online for this one since sizing so off).
