The provide great comfortable support, especially if you have had a serious ankle injury in the past. If you had damaged you Achilles in the past, these boots will give you that support and balance. They run wide and are comfortable if you have other foot issues. They are also great for walking on a slippery floor.I highly recommend these for folks who have feet that have worked hard and still want play hard.
My previous Keene's were 20 yrs old and still good! I only bought new ones because my shoe size increased a bit. These are just as good as my old ones, comfortable and the only brand that doesn't need to be broken in. I like the design with the wider toe box, it really helps with comfort, aeration, going downhill. These are a great buy, and Amazon price was a better sale than anywhere else.
Broke them in on a truly muddy and long hike, my feet stayed dry and clean the entire time. The color isn’t like pictured, a little more like a moss color and tan. I don’t need a wide toe so I have extra room at the end but I imagine anyone who is seeking a wider toe would be happy with these. Other than all that, they are very comfy and seem to be durable! Love keen.
I love keen for hiking! This was my first pair of high top ones and love them! Kept my ankles warmer, fit just right and could walk through some water and my feet were not wet!
I am starting this post by saying that I normally LOVE Keen shoes and boots. I have been buying them for years and they always hold up well, are super comfortable, high quality, and cute. But these have not lived up to that standard at all. They are not nearly as comfortable as the previous pair I bought them to replace, and I have probably hiked less than 100 miles in them and already the inner lining in the heal has blown out. Very disappointed.
Update - my 2nd pair was not defective. The tongue did slightly hurt my ankle until I wore them several times. Now they're not as stiff and are my go to outdoor shoes. Updated my 3 star review to 5.So the sole feels great on these. They have a roomy toe box and seem a bit wide. The right shoe had a defect so I'm returning and reordering. The tongue has a super hard seam that pushes into the top of my foot. You can see it actually leaves a gap when laced up. The left shoe felt great though. Hoping the 2nd pair has no issues.
