Bought for my 73 year old mother who walks in a few miles a day sandals. After a little struggle with adjusting the ankle strap to the size she wanted, she was pleased. Was worried not being able to adjust the toe straps would be a problem but fit fine. So far so good anyway!
I like the style. Very cute. I read the reviews about the heel and closure. The good news is the heel is adjustable, the bad news is it's difficult. The heel was too loose so the shoes and I had an argument adjusting it. I kind of won. In retaliation they were hard to close. So, not the easiest shoes but so cute. It's worth the fight.Update, what I feared happened. The material on the front of the shoe is very cute but very irritating on my skin. Can't wear these shoes for any length of time.Boo hoo, very sad but I have to return them.
The bottom of the sandal is comfortable but the ankle strap was so tight that it hurt my ankle. I’m not a fan of the clip of the straps. It’s hard to release if the sandal is tight on you. I’m a 6.5 and I got a 6.5 and it felt a little small. I wanted to love the sandal but after trying it I couldn’t. It may be different for others.
Super comfy, medium arch toward the center of the feet. It is easily adjustable. I don’t know what people were complaining about in other reviews. It’s also each to clasp and unclasp, as you can see.
OLD INVENTORY. I bought these for a month long trip to Mexico. So cute! I wanted something comfortable from city to beach. City was fine. They're not the most comfortable for 15-20k steps a day, but not bad... that is before I tried to walk on wet slippery surfaces. That's when I realized the soles were old, not pliable. You know when rubber gets hard? There's no grip, no traction. As I tried to traverse across slick surfaces to a water fall, everyone else was fine, but I slipped flat on my butt; trying to get up was like being in a skating rink, guy helped me stand, but I couldn't walk, so I took off the sandals. It didn't help me get to the falls bc once barefoot I realized the smaller rocks were really sharp. Everyone else got to go swim under the falls - except me. I ended up buying cheap water shoes for the rest of the beach trip. Super disappointing, and pretty expensive for DEFECTIVE OLD HARD shoes. Keen is a great brand, Ive had other pairs, but these old defects were no bargain. Don't buy.*This review is old, just tossing these shoes, remembering how bad they were. Shouldve left this years ago to save others the trouble.
These are great for short hikes (up to about 2 miles) out to the river and back. They are just as comfortable when wet and dry quickly. Good tread for scrambling around on slippery rocks. This is probably the best purchase I have made all year.
