After ordering and returning several pairs of hiking shoes I am very happy to find a pair that are comfortable on my problem feet. The fabric allows for a little stretch and less pressure on my foot.. The medium is a little wide for my narrow foot but easily solved with a thicker sock. The shoe looks beige in the photo but really is almost white. Some desert hikes will soon take care of that.
I LOVE these! The perfect shoe for light hiking in warm climates. They're light and breathable. They're supportive with great traction. Dust blends in well on the "Brick Dust/Birch" colorway. I normally wear an 8.5 in sneakers, and that's what I ordered here. Great fit with normal socks. I'm considering buying a backup pair for whenever they stop making this shoe.
I did not like these shoes at first because the fit was too tight. I have worn them for several days now and they are much more comfortable. I know they don't have a wide-toe box like most Keen shoes, but they are meant to stabilize your foot while walking on rough terrain. I like them for their breathability, weight, color, arch support, grip, and overall appearance. I have bunions on both feet so my main concern was comfort. I purchased my usual size in Keens and the fit was perfect. I will use these mainly for walks and doing errands even though I can wear them all day. I recently bought the Keen NXIS Speed low vent hiker and these are my favorite hikers to date (very comfy). I bought them specifically for a summer trip to Yellowstone. I also purchased the Keen NXIS EVO, and although they are excellent shoes, I returned them as I could not wear them for more than a couple of hours at a time.
I bought these initially for the color because they match blue jeans. But, they are also comfortable, snug, work well on steep hiking trails. I like them so much, I bought a second pair for when my first pair eventually wears out.
I have always been able to slip right into ANY Keen shoe right out of the box with a perfect fit. I did not expect a Keen shoe to be so narrow. Otherwise the shoe appears to have all the good qualities with good arch support, great tread and overall good workmanship - too bad they do not fit, and do not come in wide - I would put up with the wide width for these.
These are my favorite pair of Keens. Very comfortable and can be worn with some slacks to work.
Returned. Totally different shape than any Keens I’ve purchased in the past. Made my feet look two sizes larger and not comfortable.
