True to size for Keen shoes

Although I just received these, I wanted to do a quick review mostly to say that they fit me true to size for Keen shoes. I wear an 8 in Keen consistently, so I tried an 8 in these (Elsa 5 sneaker, in blue & white) and they fit perfectly with a thin sock, just like my other Keens - wide in the toe box for my wide foot, and my narrow heel fits fine as well. The soles are comfortable, but don't expect the extra support or cushioning that's typical of a Keen hiking shoe. The outer part of the sneaker is just canvas with no real padding like a hiking shoe, but that's expected.I could not wear them with an arch support/plantar fascitis insert, they aren't quite roomy enough for that; my heel slipped up and down because it raised my foot just a tad too high for this sneaker and the rest of the shoe was too tight (length was still ok). I do wear an insert in my other Keen hiking shoes with no problem. But, these aren't hiking shoes and I don't intend to walk great distances in them, so I think they'll be fine.I saw some reviews saying they ran small, but the reviewers didn't say if they were comparing them to Keen or another brand. For me, they are true to the Keen size. I also wear an 8 in Born & Merrill, if that helps anyone.I can't say how well they hold up or how comfortable they are after wearing for a long period of time, but I can say I *really* like the look of them. They remind me of 'old school' sneakers from a *long* time ago, and they don't have that 'clunky' look that's typical of Keen. Also, the blue is really vivid.

Fave Keen shoe

Cute, comfy, good value. Liked them so much, this my second pair. Got two years worth of city weekends/Fridays out of the originals - now those are my beach shoes.

Cute with some cushion but little arch support

I purchased theses for warm day of walking at amusement park or around town when traveling. These shoe have some cushion, but minimal arch support. Still more comfortable and lighter than Converse / Vans. I wore them out of the box and did a lot of walking all day with some up and down steep hills. I purchased my normal size (in Keen sandals) but wished I had sized up a half size because my right big toe got a bit of pressure on the outside top and left second toe on the tip slightly low. I was wearing fairly thin no show athletic socks. I have high arches so I usually add an arch only support for flats like this (which I used on these) not my 3/4 orthotics in hiking shoes that requires sizing up a half size.

comfortable fit

They're KEENs, so they're well-made in as sustainable a manner as possible, they fit great, they're comfortable, and the blue&white tie dye pattern is spunky. What's not to like?

Stylish casual shoe

I have received a number of complements on the stylish look these shoes. I bought them because I just love my Keen hiking sandals which are durable and comfortable. I love the wide toe box in that as I have aged I have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable for my crazy toes and foot neuroma. Although I still have foot pain with these shoes, it is not until I’ve been wearing these shoes all day that the pain comes out. Additionally, although the shoe bottoms look flat, there is plenty of arch support (I have high arches). I definitely would recommend these shoes. The price of approximately $50 is an incredible bargain.

Comfortable

Keen Elsa never lets me down. Comfortable and durable. Have medical issues by end of day extremities swell up but my feet stay comfortable. Shame Keen has discontinued and changed their quality line.

So uncomfortable, too many rough seams inside

I wanted to love these, and even though I read the reviews that talked about the inside seams rubbing and being uncomfortable, I figured I'd try them anyway. I should have taken those reviews more seriously. These shoes are very cute, as so many others have said. But the tongue and inside seams are thick and rub mercilessly. No matter how I adjusted the laces, to loosen them up, hoping that would ease the rub, it didn't work. I couldn't have worn these for more than five minutes without having blisters everywhere.
