Comfortable for wide feet
Let me start by saying, I’m no avid hiker, but we do like to explore the great hiking trails here in NEPA. Last year I realized that I needed to get a better quality boot so I started doing research. This brand kept popping up but in another style. There was only 1 review on Amazon for this style so I was hesitant at first, but based on the reviews of this brands other styles, I ultimately decided to grab them.Im cheap y’all, and I saw some boots out there that were way out of my comfort zone, this brand included. For someone who hikes 1-2 a month, splurging $200+ on boots was not happening. I stumbled across these 73% off and scooped them up. I paid $49.50.At first glance the colors and design were adorable, I wanted to stay away from the typical brown/camo. The grey blue color combo is great.Im normally a 7, I picked up 7.5 for some sock space and they fit perfect with wool socks( see photos). The removable arch support is a great feature, so I can swap that out when needed with something with stronger support if necessary. The attached tongue and heal protector (no blisters), are great additions to the boot. The boot itself fits snuggly but not tight and the toe area gives you wiggle room to stretch or scrunch your toes. The boot hits at the perfect ankle height for added support. I can’t speak on waterproof, but they seem to be made well, thick but breathable. The only negative I see is the laces, and maybe it’s a hiking boot thing???, but the laces are a little stretchy. I really have to pull tight to get a good tie which makes me wonder if they may snap at some point. So to be prepared, I’ll grab some extra laces to toss in my backpack.Overall I am impressed with the look and feel, giving them a whirl this weekend
