Roomy
At nearly seventy years of age, I am fortunate not to suffer from diabetes. However, as a self-proclaimed home chef, I do spend enormous amounts of time in the kitchen on my feet, and there are times that my aging dogs and my knees feel the effects of it. What drew me into trying these shoes out was the application for restaurant workers. They are advertised as being roomy, and they are. Nice large toe box. I normally wear a men’s size 9, or in some shoes a 9.5. I ordered the 9s and they are plenty big, even with the included orthotic inserts. More on those later. They are slip on shoes, but are secured by a robust closure strap utilizing Velcro. Easy to get in and out of, even without a shoehorn. The polyurethane soles are very hard, the uppers pretty stiff, and though advertised as having a leather upper, that’s not quite true. Most of the upper is synthetic and what little there is that appears to be leather (trim and style accents) is probably PU leather, not real leather. (PU would be waterproof, and the shoes are said to be that.) The inner material of cotton and polyester is pretty soft and comfy. As to the removable orthotic inserts … well, we think of such things as soft and cushiony like many popular name brand inserts. These inserts are hard, heavy duty synthetic or rubberish plastic. You can choose to use them or not, depending on which you find more comfortable. There are a lot of variables here because everyone’s feet are different. I am quite flat footed, so high shoe arches tend to bother me. However, so far, so good.Due to their rigidity, these shoes would not be a good fit for my brisk morning walks, but after a short breaking in period, they do offer good support and comfort for long periods of time on my feet. And, while they won’t win any beauty contests, they are most certainly a good value at this price point. They look to be well made and should prove durable.

Functional and True to Size, But Don't Expect Style Points
These Kefuwu Waterproof Diabetic Shoes run true to size. I wear a 12 wide, ordered a 12 wide, and they fit me well with no issues.Comfort & Fit: As someone who suffers from neuropathy, I find these shoes comfortable for daily wear; though please take that assessment with a grain of salt, given my condition. The slip-on design makes them easy to remove at day's end. The adjustable strap across the bridge of the foot is not uncomfortable, and the hook-and-loop fastener secures nicely. The soles provide good traction on hard surfaces like tile and wood floors. These work well for walking and serve their intended purpose, though I would be reluctant to consider running in them.Construction & Features: The build quality appears solid, with no offensive odor when removed from the shrink wrap. The heel orthotic inserts are flexible but are not soft like the foam insole. The materials suggest they could be at least water-repellent, though I haven't had an opportunity to test their waterproof claim yet. For anyone concerned with weight, each shoe weighs 15.5 ounces (438 grams), and the included heel orthotics weigh 1.3 ounces (37 grams) each. The Downsides: The packaging was underwhelming, and there's no guidance on how to insert the included heel orthotics. I believe I figured it out correctly - they go under the included foam insole, but instructions would have been helpful. More significantly, these are not attractive shoes and clearly remind me of orthopedic footwear. If style matters to you, look elsewhere.Bottom Line: As a slip-on shoe that runs true to size, these are a 5-star item functionally. However, I'm subtracting 2 stars for styling and packaging, giving them an overall 3-star rating. If you prioritize comfort and fit over appearance, these deliver solid value.

Comfortable and Practical Work Shoes with Room for Improvement
These waterproof slip-on shoes are a solid option for anyone who needs extra room and support, especially for wide or swollen feet. The wide toe box and adjustable closure make them easy to put on and take off, which is a big plus for daily wear. The cushioning feels supportive enough for long periods of standing or walking, and the non-slip sole provides good traction on wet or smooth surfaces—useful for kitchen, restaurant, or food service environments. The waterproof upper also does a good job keeping feet dry during light splashes or wet conditions. That said, there are a few areas where they could be improved. The shoes feel a bit heavy compared to standard walking shoes, which may be noticeable after a full day on your feet. Breathability could also be better; while waterproofing is effective, the interior can feel warm over extended wear. Finally, the overall styling is very functional but somewhat bulky, which may not appeal to everyone.Overall, these shoes deliver comfort, stability, and safety for work or daily use, particularly for those who need wide-fit, supportive footwear. With lighter materials and improved ventilation, they could easily earn a full five stars.
