These boots are wonderful from the first time you put them on. They are rugged and very comfortable. Very pricey for me but we’ll worth the purchase. I have worn them a lot since my purchase. Fit perfectly and able to wear all day from day one.
Love these boots.I had to put about 50 miles of cross-country hiking on them before they were broken in, but once they were it was like putting a glove on each foot. Don't be put off when you have no laces to work with at first; they seem really short until the boot is broken in and forms to your foot. Then the laces have plenty of length to them. I find that these boots have great traction and protect my ankles well while trucking through the brush. They are full leather so don't breath like a synthetic boot. If that's a problem for you normally you may consider another brand. If you have to be side-hilling a lot, hiking over talus, cross-country, or just need a really supportive boot, these are great. They're a bit overkill though if you just need a good day-hiking boot.

Well made! I've hiked in them twice, they are a little stiff but are already breaking in.
I've been wearing these boots for about 2 weeks, and have about 8 miles on them. I wanted a high boot for hiking in the rainforest. I really liked the fit in this boot compared to the Danner. My other boots that I love are the Cabela's Meindl Perfekt Hiker, for comparison. The soles on these boots are really thick. I think I gained an inch in height. The tread is great. One serious downfall is that it slips on wet roots and rocks. Maybe this will improve as the tread wears? Also, the sole is very stiff, not much flex, so walking on uneven terrain with mixed rocks and vegetation can be a challenge. Again, maybe will break in with time? The leather portion is great, very comfortable, lacing system works well. Have been in light rain, but no serious test to the waterproofness at this point. These boots are amazingly light weight for the durability you get.
Went on a two week hike near the attic red. These boots are comfortable and kept me dry the whole time. Best boot I’ve ever had.
