These boots are great and easy to wear but they run a little big
This product is a good value for the money. I don’t think this is a long-term, hiking boot for the hunter or fisherman, the quality just isn’t there, but for using around town, out to the store for a retired guy, or a boy with a growing foot. These aren’t a huge investment, but they do the job very well.
For too long I'd put off buying boots that could withstand a Chicago winter. It came as a relief when this pair showed up at a nice price. They keep my feet warm and dry and are easy on/easy off without the inconvenience of laces coming untied. After three weeks use, though, my one fear came true. I judged that the zippers could pose a problem the first time I saw them and made a point of handling them gently. Sure enough, the fabric "loop" attached to the pull tab on the right boot tore off yesterday. I replaced it (successfully) with the plastic tie from a coffee bean bag, which I threaded through the tab for drawing the zipper upward. My fingers are crossed that my improvisation will hold though I'm ready for further interventions. Other than the vulnerability of questionable zippers, however, I am loving these boots, am happy I bought them, and am hopeful for long-term wear.
I normally wear a 10W or 10.5W. These are 11M so a bit longer and narrower than I'm used to. But they fit great with just the right amount of space for thick socks. The tread isn't too stiff and the zipper is convenient. The cuff opens wide enough to easily stuff my jeans into. Now we'll see how well they last.
Nice boot, but they sure don't last long. 3rd pair I've owned and the zippers fail after a year. Consistently
I haven't worn these outside yet since I'm not sure I'm going to keep them. They feel warm and fit okay(ish). I have large and wide feet. In some brands I wear a 13 4E or a 14 4E depending on how their sizing runs. The 13D(M) of this boot feels loose on the foot, and tight around the ankle. Maybe that will work out as a good thing, but maybe it will break my ankle. Hard to tell! There is also ZERO arch support. They're completely flat.
Didn't even last 3 month the rubber part started tearing. the inside fabric also tore away. The stitching undone my feet still got cold and I never been in or ever even seen snow in my life. Needs arch support.
