Most comfortable boot from the get go
I usually wear a 6.5 and so that is what I ordered in Kodiak. I looked at LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, and Sorel for boots before I moved to Wyoming. I liked the look of the Sorels, but the reviews weren't great and I really wanted warm, dry feet. I did some googling and saw Kodiak pop up as recommended. Looked it up and thought, sure, if I'm spending $150 on some boots, I want them to last and be dry. Great idea!I put these boots on with medium thick socks the first time wearing them and they were absolutely the most comfortable first time wearing shoe I've ever had. Fit like a glove. Have had no problems with thin or thick socks and once I got to the cold places, I haven't had any issues with my feet being cold. In fact, my feet sweat in them the other day when I was outside doing a bunch of stuff. Took them off, let them dry for a few hours and good to go again. I can't wait to go hiking in these things!I did slip on some ice while wearing these, but they are much grippier than any other boot I own and my dog was yanking on me when it happened, so I don't blame the boot.I feel like these will last a good while and were well worth the money. Truly fantastic boot, looks great, feels better, and seems to be solid stitching and materials all around.

Hiking. Boots to relish.
The thing about these boots is very cool. I wear them from fall to spring and my feet feel so comfortable comfy and warm. Especially in the very cold winters. The boots keep the feet warm which I n turn helps me stay warmer. Cotton socks, nylon knee highs to wool socks. The boots are still warm and cozy. Made in Canada, they are a rugged and hefty boot. If you’re looking for fashion boots, these could fall into a slot but they are not the kind that hit the fashion runway unless it’s a sports fashion runway and then they hit the top…😊

Find your fit and you're set for life!
Me: I have narrow feet with a mid to high arch, and I walk a lot. I've been searching for hiking boots to be my go-to boots for long hikes in unpredictable weather conditions.Sizing: With shoes in general (heels, sneakers, boots, flip flops) I wear between a 6 and 6.5. I first ordered the size 6 and returned them because they were too tight on top--even with the laces loosened. The return process was super easy, and free! Fully reimbursed the day after I sent the boots back. The size 6.5 fits wonderfully with hiking socks. (These socks specifically: 5Pack Women's Mid Cushion Low Cut Hiking/Camping/Performance Socks Small 5Pack Color Assortment) I haven't tried wearing the boots with socks thinner than those, but I imagine it would be okay as long as they're not too thin (like dress socks). I can't really think of any sizing details outside of: they simply fit. There's room for me to wiggle my toes and I could probably wear even thicker wool socks and still be fine.Experience: First day wearing these boots was at an airport traveling (lots of standing and briskly walking to terminals), I didn't encounter any comfort issues and my feet stayed warm. These are hiking boots so they're quite hefty. My feet feel clunky when I'm walking around, but I'm used to wearing Converse all day everyday. The second day wearing these boots, I was trekking around uneven grounds on a farm feeding bison. My ankles felt fully supported and it was easy to get around. I've also worn these boots for 15 hours straight in a combination of walking, standing, and almost jogging--yes, my feet were tired after 15 hours but they didn't hurt or feel sore from the boots.Packaging: The package arrived on time in a plastic shipping bag with the boots inside a Kodiak boot box. Each boot was individually wrapped in tissue paper and stuffed with standard shoe innards to keep the boots' shape. They came with both red laces (pictured) and plain black laces. My opinion: I friggin' LOVE these boots and I get so many compliments when I wear them! They're the kind of boots that make me want to go on hikes just so I can wear them.(Side note on those hiking socks: they're the perfect height BEFORE washing and putting them in the dyer. Afterwards, they still clear the top of the boot, which would be fine for hiking in shorts, but they're not ideal with pants. I plan on getting the crew height hiking socks for wearing these boots with pants: 5Pack Women's Multi Performance Cushion Hiking/Outdoor Crew Socks Year Round)

Love them but creaky sole after 2 years.
I’ve had these boots since 2018 and I love it. I usually wear a 7.5 and it’s true to size for me. These are so comfy I didn’t have to break them in and I‘ve worn them all day and walked for hours in them without any issues. It’s also water resistant so I’ve been able to walk through snow and puddles with completely dry toes. I ordered the darker brown which came with 2 colors of shoelaces: red and brown (LOVE the red one). It’s also very attractive and I’ve gotten many compliments. The only thing I’m bummed about is the second winter I wore these, something must have happened to the wooden sole on the right boot because it started making a creaky, stepping-on-an-old-wooden-flooring kind of noise whenever I walk. I have no clue if this is something that can be repaired by the manufacturer, I tried looking it up but I haven’t really found an answer. I’m crossing my fingers I can get it fixed before this winter because I love these boots so much and I expected for them to last much longer than this.
