Great wading boot

I have only used these 1 time and they are working well. I wore them from 9:30am to 4:00pm without having sore feet. The river bottom was a combination of silty mud to jagged rocks and they did well. They drain quickly and are not heavy when you get out of the water. I wear a 10.5 USA shoe size and bought the 12 USA size. They fit very well. I wear a regular sock and then the bootie from my waders, my foot does not move around in the shoe. The BOA system is great you can get the boot off quickly and you can also tighten the boot up easily without dealing with wet shoe laces. I haven't used the felt bottom soles yet so I can't say anything about those, I used the regular rubber bottom soles that came with it and it had good grip on the rocks and also felt good on the hike to the fishing spot good traction. I recommend these boots.

Great boots so far.

After three days of hard fishing in very rocky and rough terrain, these boots have held up great so far and provided great support and comfort. The heel lock feature is actually really nice as it keeps your foot in the proper position even when standing awkwardly (like in uneven bouldery river bottoms).Full disclosure, I purchased another set of soles (vibram studded soles) to use with these. The included rubber soles are definitely not adequate for the rivers I fish. I'm pretty sure they are meant for just hiking in so you can switch to the felt once at the river. That being said, where I fish, I'm constantly getting out of the water and hiking over boulders so I wanted a sole I could use in and out of the water. So I'd definitely think about where you like to fish and what sole, or combination of soles, will suit you best. The drainage is actually really impressive. When using my old cheap wading boots, it felt like I always had buckets of water on my feet, especially when steping out of the water. These drain almost instantly and it's like I was never in the river. As for sizing, I wear a 11.5 shoe and have a size 12 foot on my waders. These boots in size 12 did not fit well and I needed to go up to the 13 which fits great.Update after a year and a half: Fished in these almost every weekend since buying them and they held up great until a lace eyelet broke recently. Contacted Korkers and they shipped a brand new pair right away after emailing them pictures of the damaged boot. (Also, make sure you keep your original soles around, there is a mark on them that Korkers will ask for if you warranty the boot). I won't buy another brand ever again.

Love these boots!

Light, comfortable and I love the tensor system instead of laces. Very reasonably priced. I'm not a heavy user but these are still going strong after three seasons of use

Great boot, unexpectedly stable soles in thick marsh mud!

After first use over the weekend, I was very pleased with this boot! The interchangeable soles were perfect for this outing. I primarily bought the boot to use for fishing, but I decided to try them out with my new Compass 360 Deadfall waders(recently reviewed) on my duck hunt over the weekend. Quickly swapped the felt soles for the rubber treaded soles got the marshy mud and they performed perfect!! Not too heavy, drained well, and were a breeze to clean. I was a little leary about the soles possibly detaching in the thick mud, but they were solid! I wouldnt be able to tell the difference between these or a permanent soled boot. I forgot they were even detachable until I cleaned them off. Great boot, highly recommended. Excited to try them out on future fishing expeditions! I only went up a half size and they fit perfect over neoprene stocking waders.

Best Wading Boots I’ve Owned

These are definitely the best wading boots I’ve ever owned. I love the drainage system and the ability to switch between different soles. I have the felt sole and the grip is fantastic on the very slippery stones in the river I fish. The boa system is really awesome as it makes the super easy to put on and take off. These boots are an easy 5 out of 5 for me.

Great, but missed a few steps along the way.

I just opened the box and it wasn't in the original korker's box which I'm assuming it's a returned item which is fine it doesn't look like they have been used but I did notice immediately the the BOA wire that is supposed to be in the guide on the left shoe is not where it's supposed to be. It's going to wear and it's going to cut either the boot or the wire. At least they did send a little wrench to fix this but I shouldn't have to take apart a boot that you pay this much for before you even use it. Anyway, I have not used this item yet but it's light and feels good on my feet I will update after a few days fishing.Update* used and they were excellent in the water no issues at all. Updated to 4 stars

Excellent Boots

I was able to get these boots out in the water this weekend and boy did they perform. I spent hours chasing salmon on Pacific Northwest rivers scrambling over rocks, hiking through thick brush, walking muddy trails, and crossing slippery streams. They feel much more like a hiking boot on your feet than typical wading boots. The boots have a very stiff secure feel while also remaining nimble enough to get you where you want to go comfortably. The drainage holes on the boot may be my favorite feature. They just shed all of the water when you come out of the river so you are not lugging around in heavy waterlogged boots all day. I love the fact that you can switch to different soles when needed without buying an entirely new pair of boots. It's great for those of us that fish multiple rivers with different gear rules or travel to different state/countries that have banned felt bottom soles. These are an all around solid boot at a great price point and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again or recommend to a friend.
