OUTLAND USA GOT AN EXCELLENT BOOT TO US BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
I purchased this excellent Korkers boot from Outland USA (via Amazon) because the manufacturer couldn't guarantee delivery before Christmas. They arrived just this morning: Thank-you, Outland USA! I'll give them and a set of Studded TrailTrac soles to my father-in-law so he can more safely enjoy winter hikes. I've had my own pair for just over a month, and the boot's changeable soles have tremendous utility. I've used the SnowTrac sole for typical cold, snowy days, and the IceTrac sole after ice builds up on the sidewalks. The metal-studded soles definitely make for safer trekking over ice covered trails and sidewalks The "BOA" dial lace system is much faster, easier, and more adjustable than traditional laced-boots, and it can be manipulated without removing my gloves. My father-in-law and I are both about a size 8 regular foot, wear size 8.5 regular shoes, and find that size 9 regular insulated boots give us most comfortable fit for winter activities. This boot has ample toe room while preserving a snug fit in the heel, and while it seemed almost narrow in the arch, that feeling disappeared as I adjusted the BOA for my preferred fit. Great quality, comfortable, easy to tighten after back surgery
First pair lasted my husband 2 years. So he's in his 2nd pair now. He says they are comfortable. He had a back surgery so for him the twist to tighten is perfect since he can't move like he use to. They keep his feet warm for our michigan winters and having the attachments for ice is nice. He hasn't fell when used.

Very poor quality
“I wear these boots daily to walk my dog, but unfortunately, the soles wear out far too quickly. The original soles didn’t even last three weeks before becoming unusable. I purchased the Triple Tread blank soles as a replacement, and while they lasted about two months, it’s still disappointing for the price.The concept of interchangeable soles is great and could be a game-changer if the quality improved. However, with the current durability issues, I can’t recommend this product to others. I hope Korkers addresses this and enhances the quality of the soles in the future.”

BOA
After returning a pair that was too large, these boots fit fine. I wanted BOA laces so as to be able to more easily put my boots on and off when I go from wintery outside to inside, where I am often required to leave my shoes at the door. These do the trick very well. I have not used them in the great outdoors yet.
