Amazing traction, good support yet very comfortable.

These are my first “serious” angling boots after my beginner set up and it’s a night and day difference. The ankle support, the ridiculously grippy studded vibram soles, and the roomy toe box are outstanding. I got a full size larger than my street shoes per recommendation and they fit perfectly, with good room in the toe box that I really appreciated.Coming from a boot with less ankle support, these did take a bit of getting used to. They are not as nimble as my beginner boots which to be honest had no support whatsoever which led to aching stabilizer muscles from having to constantly muscle my way into balance on long outings on the river. I found myself getting surprisingly good grip on extremely slick river rocks at odd angles at my last outing that would have definitely resulted in wader filling incidents with my old boots. The hard toe cap also meant no more bruised toes which I was getting more often with my old setup. With these boots I can wade into dicey wading conditions I frequently get into with absolute confidence. (I also find that I am using my wading staff much less). The boots still look brand new after rinse downs following a couple of hard sessions and my sense is that they will likely hold up to long term hard use.Strongly recommended.

decent boot in ways, terrible design and dangerous in many others

These are a great boot in some ways for the river and terrible and dangerous in many others. WARNING, the soles come off easily in mud. They will come out and if you are lucky you will find them again. If not, you will be buying replacement ones. Once the soles come out a few times, they loosen and come out even easier.I work clearing downed trees so I needed the carbide tipped soles. Stepping into mud then up onto a slippery tree, I slipped and fell when I discovered the sole had come out in the mud giving me no traction. This happened all day to myself and others using these boots. (many on our crew got them because of the traction they gave) We have had to stop wearing them. Its wasted money. Even those that first suggested them to us stop wearing them. They cannot be trusted or relied on.I contacted Korkers with the concerns and to see if they had any suggestions or offered a fixed sole style boot. Their reply was to wrap a zip tie around it toi keep the sole on. EXCUSE ME? This is $350 and you want me to wrap zipties around the boot to keep the sole on because its a defective design? It was too late to return them. They dont make a similar boot with fixed soles and scoffed at the idea.I got the laced version. Others got the boa system. I wanted the simplicity with laces and the ability to carry spare laces in case something happens. Im glad I did. The boa system is cool but it gets clogged with sand easily. Those with it have been having more problems.I love the boot in some ways but overall its worthless. Then the absurdity in their reply shows that caring about their product and customer service is non existent. I cannot warn people to stay away from this brand enough. Its sad because I had high hopes for them.

Superior traction, but incredibly uncomfortable.

I bought these because I do a lot of fishing on jetties and wanted top tier boots to traverse the slippery rocks. Having used them once on the lengthy Surfside Jetty in Texas… I can honestly say that these boots get the job done… but they have a major drawback. While the traction is crazy good, these are by far the most uncomfortable pair of boots/shoes/footwear I’ve ever stepped foot in. I can confirm the other reviews regarding the pain experienced while wearing these particular boots. For me, the section right above my ankles (around my lower shin) were in agony the entire time that I wore them. Having walked more than 2 miles that day, I’m still feeling the effects days later. I doubt I’ll be able to exchange them, so I assume that I’m stuck hoping and praying that these break in and aren’t going to be this excruciating going forward. $300 for this amount of pain is just sadistic lol.

Bullet Proof Batman Boots

These boots are a solid build and every thought for practical application and durability is on display. Some day the size I need will come in and I will order them again. I found size 10 too snug with boot foot wader and thin sock. When size 11 hits I am on it. Very comfortable when laced loosely. Hooks loops are a great addition and make for fast lace-up. Space boot stable. Good ankle support and toe box flex.
