Good buy

I used these for the first time a few days ago, for an ice fishing trip. They were very warm in sub-zero conditions, all day long. I liked how easy they were to slide on and off with the BOA system. Instead of swapping in any of the "ice" soles, I opted to keep the snow boot soles and I bought an inexpensive pair of cleats (Cimkiz brand) to go over them. The cleats fit great on the boot and I was very sure-footed on glare ice, and could run for tip-ups easily. I'm not sure how their ice soles would have done, but it was a great solution for me. These are big boots and you should not expect to be able to flex your ankles much, but I was on my feet most of the day and they were pretty comfy.

comfy, warm and supportive

these will be great for extreme weather and deep snow. i'll be taking them to the arctic but have worn them in the Sierras in 35 degrees/snow and didn't overheat in them. they were comfortable on dry sections of the trails. what i needed the most (aside from warmth) was a firmer supportive sole for plantar fasciitis and they did that well. the Snowmaggedon was cuter and warm but this Polar Vortex will handle deeper snow and colder temps much better.

Actually keep my feet warm:)

This is the first pair of supposedly warm winter boots that my feet have not become frozen in. I've only ever found a pair that kept my feet dry, but being outside for any length of time during the winter in NY, my feet would slowly become unbearably cold & numb. I also extremely appreciate how easy they are to take on and off!! I work on my feet, on concrete floors, for 47 to 50 hours a week. My other boots were an extreme struggle to put on, and pull off, and caused alot of pain to my already abused feet. These boots have been an absolute relief for me. Thank you so very much for a product I've been searching for, for so many years!!!

Boots to kick snow in

They fit perfectly. Not super huge or too small. Are a bit heavy due to all the G's of warm insulation. Rather than having annoying laces to mess with these have what looks like guitar strings. Easy to tighten and undo. The style looks very tough and durable. Like these boots take no bs from the snow and ice.

Love these boots!

My feet are finally warm and happy! So far, I’ve worn them for about 6 hours in 10-15 degree weather and they were perfect. I was looking for a waterproof boot that aren’t too clunky and these are great!

Sizing is way off

After reading the reviews of these being narrow, and following Korkers recommendation to size up if you are in-between sizes. I normally wear size 8.5 in all shoes so I ordered size 9. They are big all over, too long, too wide, to big on top of ankle and to big around the ankle. I was really looking forward to experiencing warm feet in the winter. They are the most rugged boot I have seen, almost like a mountaineer boot but with more flexibility. I am returning and going to order a size 8 in the same boot and a size 8.5 in the snowmageddon and keep my fingers crossed.Update.... this is for the size 8 that I just received, the size 9's were returned. I am very disappointed and confused on the sizing. The 8's fit exactly like the 9's maybe even a tad larger but I can not compare now. I will be sending these back as well. The snowmageddon's that I ordered in my true size of 8.5 fit like the size 9 and the size 8. Granted the snowmageddon is an entirely different boot. They both seem like they would be hot-a-licious for my cold feet, not sure if I should try a size 7 in the Polar vortex and a size 8 in the snowmageddon. Either way if I do order, I will update my review.
