Very comfortable and nice looking Bowling Shoe
I purchased these bowling shoes for my teenage grandson who is joining a bowling league. I honestly had taken him to a bowling shop to try on shoes since I wanted to make sure that the shoe would fit him before ordering. First things first. If you go to a local shop you are going to spend $10-$15 more for the same shoe. I had him try on several different makes of shoes and he chose the KR Strikeforce Aviator in Black/Blue. Of course to him the big thing was that the shoe is "cool" looking or as his exact words were, "this shoe is sic". He wasn't looking for shoe facts like an adult would so for those of you who are looking for the facts of this shoe this is what I can tell you. The shoe is nicely made. Beyond its cool looks, the top material is lightweight and breathable. The design looks like it would be a mesh material but it isn't. It is a solid lightweight material. The shoe runs true to size. Around the sides of the shoe where it sits at the top of your foot meeting below your ankle it has a nice extra padding making it very comfortable to wear while bowling. I like that the laces are not completely flat or rounded but somewhere in-between and they stay tied. They are not that shiny material that comes undone. I also like that they are long enough to tie but not so long that you have all this extra lace and not know what to do with. The tongues are also padded so you don't get that pinching on the top of your foot. The bottoms of the shoes have grip on the heels and 3 grip lines that would be at the ball of your foot. The rest is smoother finish for the sliding that you do when your on the lanes. The best part was these shoes did not need a "break in period". They were comfortable from the minute my grandson put them on and bowled. I am not a bowling expert but I can tell you that this shoe is comfortable, and works well on the lanes without excessive sliding or gripping but the right mix.
