They do run small

I've been wearing L. B. Evans moccasin-style slippers & drivers around the house for at least 20 years. They're fine in the cooler months, but way too warm for April-November. I have comfortable flip-flops, but for me an open toe is a stubbed toe just waiting for that perfect moment of distraction near an ideal object into which to slam itself. This scuff-style slipper seemed like it might be comfortable to wear around the house in the warm months. While looking through the size/color options, I found a pair that are a full size larger (12M) than I would normally order and that were about 60% off the regular price (discontinued color). After reading the other reviews here, this looked like a good deal. They arrived today, and I can confirm that they do still run small. My feet are slightly different sizes. The left slipper is a pretty good fit, but the right one is a little tight. Given what I paid, I'm willing to hold onto them with the hope they will stretch out a little over time. If I had paid full price, I would probably exchange them for a 12EEE pair.My previous experience with the durability of L. B. Evans slippers has been good. I replaced them every 3-5 years and even then would box up the old pair and stash them in the guest-room closet at my mother's house for use during my visits (3-4 days, several times a year). They were usually 8-10 years old before finally heading into the trash. Things change, of course; I will try to update this review if I have any quality or durability issues.

Terrible quality

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT, This is why: terrible quality, and a waste of money. We purchased these slippers as a gift for my father in mid-February 2023. He is 82-year-young man using similar slippers all his life (60+ years). He only uses it inside his house. It's unacceptable that the slippers got damaged as you can see in the pictures (in less than 6 months). We wanted to return it, but no return was allowed. Not a happy customer.

Slippers are great, however advice that they run small is not the case.

Have been buying these slippers for years with no problem. The site recommends buying larger size which we did, however they were way too large.

Confused by the reviews?

You should be. Some are saying the sizes runs small while others say they are true to size and some even say too large. How can you draw a conclusion based on such differing opinions? I wear an 11 1/2, but hedged on the side of them running small and ordered a 12M. Guess what? They are a half size too big. I should have ordered my true size or even an 11M. Some people have swollen feet and ankles due to health reasons and they should not be reviewing shoes because any shoe will seem too tight or small to their feet. I would say these run pretty true to size. I gave these a 3 star rating but not because they are a little large. That's my fault that I didn't order true to size. But the inner soles do not have the smooth leather finish that the heels and outer shoe does. I guess it's leather, but more of a grain leather that doesn't feel as good as leather slippers I have owned in the past.
