Buy them
Fit true to size. These are significantly better than the renal options at your local gym. The toes are slightly more aggressive for bouldering but can handle all types of climbing. You may be tempted to go with the cheaper entry level Black Diamond offering… don’t. The one caveat is that these are primarily for indoor use. I have no idea how they will hold up outside… but I would imagine not well. Durability is not an issue but they are not rugged enough I would hit Red Rock with them.

They were the wrong size for me but I love them anyway
I bought them a size smaller than my street shoes (45.5), us suggested by la sportiva, but they were way too small. I cannot imagine they will stretch by any meaningful way because from the heel to the toe it's all rubber and if there is any leather on the outside, it must be very very small area. When I purchase them bigger, they are still tight but I really like them. They are huge improvement over the rental shoes that I've been using. I have wide foot and they are rather comfortable width wise.I also like the closing system, or at the opening system, where are the two velcross open and there is a unilateral huge tongue so you can open the whole shoes like a clamshell and get your foot inside. I also like the color.Even though the shoe look rather aggressive on the picture, it is still bigger shoes and once you step in it it flattens up considerably. Which is definitely not a bad thing for a big enough shoe. The moment I climb in there for the first time I could instantly notice the improvement in my climbing.I should mention that I exclusively climb in the gym and I don't plan to ever climb outside, and these shoes, according to Las portiva were specifically designed for gym climbers. They did a great job.
