One of my favorites

Been running in La Sporitva shoes for many years. Also bounce around into Altras and a few others from time to time. The design and fit of the Prodigio has been amazing. No pinch at all as some people has mentioned. I am usually a 11 in most and got an 11.5 or EU 45 that fits perfect. But then again maybe my feet are getting fat in my old age. Cush is nice but not too much. Overall super happy with the purchase.

The best!

The best hiking shoes I have ever bought. Very light, comfortable and amazing colors (see attached pic)! I wore it on a 11 mile hike in the Cascade Mountains and it did well. Ordered two more pairs! Thank you La Sportiva!

Great shoes. Size could be an issue

The shoes are great- Ralph Lauren wears them - but they are sized really small. I’m a 9 1/2 and couldn’t get them on. Had to return them.

Great trail shoes

These shoes feel much more supportive than the La Sportiva Jackal II shoes I previously wore. The cushioning and "rocker" is more pronounced than any other LS shoes I've worn, similar to many Asics and Hoka shoes. Makes you wonder why this is a recent invention - it makes a noticeable difference in "springing" you forward. Great traction from the outer sole.On the La Sportiva site I read several negative reviews regarding the shoe collar rubbing on the bottoms of ankles. This probably depends on the shape of your foot, but also - I can't imagine anybody using stock insoles these days when great off-the-shelf insoles like Superfeet plus custom orthotics exist. I noticed a little contact when I first tried them on, but after replacing the very thin stock insoles with custom orthotics, the contact completely disappeared. I've used them for a couple of weeks now with no problem. So, take the negative reviews regarding ankle rubbing with a grain of salt.

The shows are ok but below my expectations

I bought these looking for a lightweight shoes that would allow me to run a roughly 50k trail running competition that are somewhat comfortable and stable and have been using other La sportiva models I was having high expectations about these. The pros: These are indeed lightweight, they feel almost like wearing no shoes, reducing the fatigue on my legs and also allow me to keep a fast cadence over time. Also very responsive and stable, giving some confidence on downhills. The cons: They don't feel comfortable. These are somewhat tight, I guess they are like this by design. They do tend to feel better after some time but not for very long runs. I feel almost no cushining. These are ok on most terrain but they don't have any grip on muddy terrain, so need to be careful when raining.I would use these for a 20K to 25K trail run or maybe a longer run that is not too technical. After several hours feet will get a bit swollen and theses start feeling uncomfortable.

Awesome Trail Shoe

Ran over 500 miles in Colorados mountains on these and the toecap stayed on! Hiked multiple big peaks but didn’t face any tearing issues until getting off trail in talus that cut up my calves. Onto my second pair! Good size toebox, feet are not cramped, breathable, not heavy, durable!

The "Glass Slipper" for Wider/Boxier Feet

Even if you have been climbing for a couple months, you know how personal shoe choices. Here a few things that might help you decide if these are the right shoe for you:- They work well with boxier/wide feet (like mine)- Their strength lies in the front part of the foot; heel fitment is acceptable but not as secure as it could be with my foot- They are CRAZY durable. I've been climbing with my pair for almost a year (2-5 times a week, v3-v5 indoor) and they're still ok. For comparison, my fivetens, which I liked, lasted 3 months under the same conditions- They DO NOT stretch. I got a 44 the first time around, not at a 44.5. lost some to nails...Last note: please try them on in person. I tried on about 3 other la sportiva shoes before I got my second pair, but none had that "glass slipper" feel. Every shoe is different. Every shoe needs that in person connection.
