Very comfortable, sticky soles
I loved these shoes at first. Like a sock with a sole. Amazing feeling. But the snug opening to slide your foot in did not hold up. In less than a month of wear, the fabric and foam behind the heel tore away from the outer fabric and it is hard to make it not bunch up. Tape doesn’t hold it well- gums up on my sock. They are basically unusable even though they are like new everywhere else. I wrote to la sportiva asking about warranty and they said they don’t do customer direct warranty service. You have to go through the seller. Amazon does not seem to have a way to do this, so it’s a loss. Unless an employee reads this and advises me otherwise, which is what I hope. So if you decide to try these, buy from somewhere that can support warranties because I predict you will need it.
Great approach shoes and a fun color-way. I've tried other clunky approach shoes and hated them, the feel like clown shoes to me. I ordered these and I am stoked, they feel so light while still being tough. I do recommend sizing up a half size to a full size from the size you wear for La Sportiva climbing shoes, I got the same size I wear and it fits but I can only wear very thin socks with them. Great shoe, definitely recommend.
Sadly they room too small. They are uncomfortable even though I ordered the right size.I am going to have to returnThem
I like the TX2's because I have a very narrow foot, and the old style fit me really well and was super comfortable. But with this redesign, Sportiva made them incredibly tight slip-ons, which is just wholly impractical. They are super hard to get on and off, and to adjust once they are on if, say, you are wearing a sock and it folded over, or there was a small pebble in there, or something. I've been wearing them for months and they are fully broken in, and it's STILL almost impossible to put them on each time. Once they are on, I still really like them, but it's too hard to use them for practical use. I just wish the other Sportiva approach shoes were as narrow as these. I know that means they don't fit everyone, so they aren't the best choice for all, but for my very narrow foot this was a great option to have! Maybe Sportiva could go back to the old TX2 design with a sewn tongue and normal laceup??(Also, the included laces are hideous, but it's easy to buy black ones that fit and look normal.)
