Comfortable support and waterproof
I got this pair from amazon because REI didn’t have my number available. Amazon delivered a used pair that was previously returned, there was still mud on the sole. Previous owner was sloppy in the cleaning department. I called amazon to report it and they refused to discount it. I could only return them.I decided to keep them. Guess today anything can be tried by someone else.BUT I am soooo happy with them that i do not regret it. They are comfortable out of the box. They fit like a glove. It feels like walking barefoot with support. And the waterproof comes handy in rainy regions with puddles and wet grass. I step on both with confidence since my feet stay warm and dry.I also have the non waterproof version, not so perfect comfy somewhat but the cold weather and the rain was a problem not to mentioned that the non 2.0 version doesn’t have the same sole support for ragged trails. So i love the 2.0 and i am hoping the upper mesh stays well not like the La Sportiva women spire that after a year of use, break on the side at the toe level bend. The wildcats replaced my love for the Spire model which i had owned like 5 or 6 pairsWildcat 2.0 gtx is a great shoe for trailing hiking and every day use.Photo1 Wildcat 2.0Photo 2 Spire with the worn out bend after less than a year of usePhoto 3 the two wildcats

Great for Mountain Biking
Comfortable, fit is right on target. I bought for Mountain Biking and they stick to the flat pedals without issue, even going over the rollers, downhill, and uphill. I recommend these.

Comparable to Cheaper Name Brands
To me these are no better than other name brand sneakers. Like em but not anything special for the price. Nothing makes these stand out head and tails above, just nice sneakers.

Can be hard to put on with the thin heel tab
I like most aspects of these shoes -- there are two areas that could use improvement. The insole that ships with the shoe is pretty thin, so the shoe appears to fit well over thick socks unless you like a more supportive insert which are thicker than the orignals. Then the shoe can be tight on thick sock. However, my primary dislike is the heel tag that exists to use when you put the shoes on. It is not a loop and is difficult to get a good grip on -- especially if you have any arthritis in your fingers like I do. Being waterproof, the shoes don't have a huge opening to slide. your foot into, they are a bit constrained from the waterproof design, and then with only a thin tag to get a good grip on to use to pull them on, it can be easy to lose your grip and your foot slides in bending the entire back down, requiring taking them off, and trying again. Otherwise I have found they work well on rocky beaches, mixed terrains of mud and tree roots, etc. They also seem to work well on bike pedals.

Waterproof
I kept the here only because they were waterproof. I never liked the color or the fit. But they truly are waterproof.
