Well made. Good fit. Just what I needed.

While starting some clean up and brush removal in a heavily wooded, wild area, I was bitten by a venomous spider , right at my bootline. It felt like I was shot with a nailgun! It put me on my butt, sick and miserable, for a month. The area also plays host to copperheads and timber rattlers. ( not to mention the largest and nastiest deer tick population that I've ever seen here in forty years.)These boots are exactly what I needed. I wouldn't use them as hiking boots, but their perfect for easily getting on and off and doing relatively stationary tasks while standing in dangerously occupied terrain. Exactly what I wanted.For extended excursions in snake country, where you would be walking for miles,I would opt for something more ergonomically suited like a jungle boot ,and use heavy , snakeproof gaiters.For around the camp, using a scythe or weed eater, these Lacrosse boots are perfect. (BTW, I was pleasantly suprised by the massive discount that popped up when I checked out. Thanks Amazon! I don't know if that discount is still in effect, but it sure was sweet. I used the savings to buy an Oberdome oven. I couldn't have done both otherwise. Prime Day was good to me😁.

Comfort and durabilty

I was very happy to find that my boots were shipped promptly and I received them early. These boots are the second pair I have purchased in 4 years and they live up to the standards that are advertised. For country living and the abuse a pair of working boots take around rocks, mud, mesquite wood is unbelievable, but let me tell you, LaCrosse 17 inch high boots are well worth the price. I have noticed that there are many boots that are advertised for a lot more money and can not live up to the standards the LaCrosse boots do.
