Shockingly comfortable, stylish, and perfect for wet & icy conditions!
I’ve been wearing these Laforst ankle boots daily for about three months, and I honestly love them even more than I expected! I almost didn’t order them because they’re marketed more as a non-slip/work boot (which immediately made me think of kitchen shoes), but I’m so glad I took the chance — they are cute, versatile, and incredibly functional. For sizing context, I’m 5’8”, about 135 lbs, athletic build, and I have very wide feet. I typically wear an 8.5, especially in boots, because most shoes hurt the ball of my foot fairly quickly. When ordering, only a size 8 was available, and I was pretty nervous — but I was pleasantly surprised. These boots are extremely comfortable, even with my wide feet, and I can wear them all day without foot pain. They’ve become my go-to fall and winter shoes! They’re easy to slip on and off, go with everything, and keep my feet warm, dry, and stable. I wear them with jeans, leggings, and boot-cut or flare pants, and they can easily be dressed up or down. The traction is outstanding. I live in Washington State, where it rains constantly and icy conditions are common, and these boots perform amazingly well in rain, slick pavement, and freezing weather. I never worry about slipping, even on wet or icy surfaces, and my feet stay completely dry.Another unexpected bonus is how easy they are to keep clean. Even after walking through grass, mud, and wet conditions, they somehow still look nearly new. I’ve included photos showing the boots after three months of wear without cleaning or wiping them down, which really speaks to their durability and material quality.Overall, these boots exceeded my expectations in comfort, traction, and everyday wearability. They’re practical without looking like work shoes, and they feel built to last. I would absolutely purchase them again and highly recommend them for anyone needing a stylish, reliable boot for wet or slippery conditions.

Size down
First, they fit! (Mostly, pretty much.) So yay!Still need to try with socks, I think that will make a big / good difference. So, the little tag / pull up handle on the back of these, it's completely useless. Unless your fingers are thin as chopsticks, that little loop is too small to get any finger in to help pull on the boot. I don't know why they even bothered. Useless things, especially when they are so because they were not made correctly, irritate me. That loop is completely useless. Serves no point. On a boot especially those should be functional so I'm considering only giving these 3.5 stars. Okay, onward.Traction appears good, looks even better than the traction on my slip resistant work boots, so I think / expect it to work as it's supposed to.There are two wide elastic sections, one on each side of the boot ankle, that allows for slipping these on fairly easily.Being short I really like the small platform and short heel, also good for getting through shallower puddles.Inside has a good arch, hard to find these days, with high arches I really appreciate this. Seems to be some padding inside, but haven't worn for any length just yet so will update if I discover any issues with this.Description mentioned laces, these do not have laces, anywhere, just to be clear.I guessed and went with a size 6.5, and thankfully I got lucky. My normal shoe size is 6-8, and my feet are weird, so guessing shoe sizes is very tricky. My feet are slightly wide, with narrow heels, and really short toes. Usually in sneakers and regular work boots I would wear a 7.5, although last some years a 7 has been a frequent number. For dress shoes most common is a 6.5, unfortunately boots like these, and "dress" boots can have their sizing anywhere in between regular shoes and dress shoes (my experience and opinion only). But last time I tried a similar boot I went with a 7 and they were huge, so I gambled and went down, technically one whole size since 7.5 used to be my regular size, to a 6.5, and thankfully they fit! It's almost close though, even a tiny bit smaller and these would have been too small and the next size up would be too big. I hope that wasn't too confusing and helps someone find what size they need. Only reason I included all that.I think it may be safe to guess these may be wide fit or at least slightly wider than "normal" fit, so I would recommend going down between half and one whole size. These seem like they should be durable and lasts a while, I certainly expect to use them for years to come. They do look a little ugly, but I'm hoping they'll grow on me (just not literally), if they don't, at least they are functional, and that's what's (most) important.Having trouble getting pics, will hopefully have some up soon.

Cute and sturdy
I really like these ankle boots. They're so cute on, and the non-slip function works really well. I wore them when I was running around all over and felt solid on my feet despite bad weather.Just one issue, the material at the ankle had gotten bent in a bit from the shipping and packaging so it cut into my ankle when I first wore them. At least that straightened out over time, and now they are fine. These are cute shoes that are great for everyday wear, especially if you're on the move.
