Most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever used
These are by far the most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever worn. I had to try three different sizes before I found the right fit, but it was worth it. They are one of the few companies that makes actually wide cycling shoes. Most other companies just use the standard sole size and increase the material above for a wide fit. Lake actually makes wide soles which support your feet much better if you have wider feet.Soles of the shoes are quite stiff for great control as well.

Awesome quality and fit for a 2E cycling
What a comfortable shoe. High quality with two BOA for quick tightening and loosing and adjustment during long rides. Well worth the extra money for the wider toe box in 2E width. I’ve risen several rides over 100 miles and one at 175 miles and the shoes are comfortable.

Best for wide feet
My feet are 11.5 US 4E in walking shoes. I purchased the 46.0 EU wide fit. They were just a little tight in width. Sooo, I did return them (great return policy, thank you) and purchased the Lake extra wide (3E) directly from Lakes website, sorry Amazon. With about 5 or so hours of riding, no numbness or foot pain. Now I'm not constantly struggling with foot position. And enjoying foot pain free riding. I hope this helps. Being comfortable finely is nice.

I wanted lightweight quality shoes that for my wide feet. These shoes are great feeling my foot fits firmly. The latches are easy to adjust and release quickly.

A bit too short
I've worn size 14 medium/regular cycling shoes for decades. My Sidi and Diadora shoes in size 14 (47 Euro) fit perfectly. These were a little too short. Checked the charts with my measurements and a size 15 (48 Euro) was suggested.

Don't rely on past Lake sizing
I have multiple pairs of Lake shoes. Lake is helpful in that they're the only shoe manufacturer I know that puts very specific shoe dimensions on their site. BUT, they're little consistency between models. Also, get the leather - after a number of rides it conforms to your feet and gets sooo comfortableI have the following - just to illustrate how much the sizing varies:- 42.5 regular CX237 - fit's the best- 43 regular CX238 (the 42.5 seemed to be smaller than the 237, but now that they've stretched I want to try a 42.5) - a bit long and wider than the 237 (even though they say its the same last)- 44 wide CX145 (winter boot) - fits narrower than the 237 42.5 regular.- 42.5 CX332 extra wide - fits narrower than the 238 regular (mostly because of the way the toe guard wraps. So try your luck, just be prepared to try a couple of times. Once you get it right, these shoes are fantastic.

If you suffer from bursa or other foot ailments, these are for you.
I typically need to have orthotics in my everyday shoes to help with the pain due to bursa inflammation and irritation that I've had for the last couple of years. These Lake shoes in Wide are terrific, comfortable, and the arch support is excellent. I don't need my orthotics in these. They even have the little 'bump' to help support and destress the metatarsals. Great shoes!
