Falling apart after 4 months

Loved them until they started falling apart, the rubber attachment to slide the laces through completely snapped. Unfortunately it was after my return window but they shouldn’t fall apart after 4 months. They offered 10 dollars for my trouble which was better than nothing but I’m going to spend another money on another for this to happen again?. It’s a design flaw and it needs to be addressed, I saw multiple people have this issue as well
