Comfortable and solid.
They seem to be very solidly built. Nice quality. The only drawback for me is that they're made in China. Other than that I like them.

Nice boots they fit as expected they look great too!
I think these boots are fantastic and I really have no complaints. I mean, these boots are coming from LAPG and set higher expectations and higher standards than other average boots you might come across and they do not disappoint a bit. Overall, they are very well made, there are no bad stitches or glue spots, very clean and solid construction. I really like the rough high-traction profile of the sole and the hill is not too high so when you walk it does not give you a "lift". The sole is thick and adds about 3/4" to the boot's height. Also, compared to other footwear the sole is stiff, but I don't think I'll be hiking in these any time soon, the sole is just right for what these boots are made for. The boots size is true, I always wear 9.5US and ordered 9.5US and they fit absolutely perfectly, not too tight not too loose. The one minor complaint is that the toes section of the boots is sort of not high enough and presses a bit on my toenails a bit when I walk, but I bet it will go away once I use them for an extended period of time. Putting them on and off is easy as well thanks to the side zipper, I don't need any shoehorn to put them on. Zippers are sliding smoothly and there is a small Velcro tab at the top of each zipper to hold the zip-tie pressed to the boot, which is an awesome feature and shows LAPG attention to every detail. Shoelaces are thinner than I would like them to be, they work fine, but I prefer thicker ones, so I will probably replace them. The color is exactly the same as on stock photos. To my surprise they are very lightweight for their size - only 625 grams! This is fantastic, for such rugged full-size boots it's almost unbelievable. This is by far the most lightweight full-size boots I've seen so far.*** Bottom line ***Yes, I definitely recommend them. I wouldn't recommend them for pleasure and fun hiking, they are heavy and stiff for that IMHO, but they will make great service boots, or for going to a range for a day, or for hunting and fishing trips, basically any activity where you need footwear you can depend on and trust. They are tough, comfortable, have excellent padding, are very lightweight for their size and will serve you well when wearing them all day long. I really love them, and I think LAPG really outperformed itself with these fantastic boots.Pros:1) True to size, fit well.2) Very well made.3) Lightweight, only 625 grams!4) Excellent sole traction.5) Stiff and thick sole.6) Easy to put on and off.Cons:1) Too thin shoelaces.2) Pressure on toenails.
Was a good boot and comfortable but after a year and a half of normal wear the rubber soles began separating from the upper leather at the toe.
I was happy to read the label stating these were designed in the US, but made in China. Like the iPhone. Something about that process yields better quality. These look like they’d be the type of boots sold on base in the BX/PX. The label also states they were actually designed by LA Police officers, so that’s pretty cool too. Ever since serving in the military, I’ve liked side-zip boots. At least when you’re doing activities that don’t require a good waterproof seal or rugged leather. It’s just so much more convenient. Faster to get dressed and out the door, and at the end of a long day, it’s great to be able to just unzip em and get em off asap to air out your aching feet. The suede on these is soft and comfy, but seems durable enough to last a while. The fit is close, but not perfect. Still very comfortable though. They seem slightly large in my size actually, but not too much so that some good, thick socks will rectify.I would give this 5 stars, but I still prefer my Under Armor boots. They cost a little more, and don’t have the side-zippers, but to me they’re more comfortable and the quality seems higher. But other than that, these are great if you’re on a budget or want a pair to use and abuse, say on muddy hiking trails where you wouldn’t want to use your $100+ boots.
These have been my main boots for the past few weeks. They're keepers. That puts them in the top 20% of boots I get. They were stiff at first, as expected, but have loosened up nicely. The main thing about them is that zipper on the side. So handy. It's a good zipper. No problems, no drama, just function. As boots tend to, these fit pretty well after enough weeks of use. They never fit poorly, but now they fit well. They've never raised a blister. As for heat and sweaty feet, these are as expected for a light boot with some breathable -insulated- panels. Yup, these aren't just canvas panels, they're two walled with some insulation in there. Sooo farily sweaty in the summer heat (currently over 100F right now). Everything is sweaty in this heat, but I've never heard a guy say it's so hot he's sweating his feet off. Yeah. Not thinking about those feet. They're fine.
I ordered these boots in a size 10 and they fit my husband’s feet true to size. They are very comfortable and don’t require a break-in period. The side-zip actually works well, so the boots can be laced up as tight as desired. It doesn’t rub weird or bunch up. He’s mostly using these for range days. After a full day, his feet still feel great. Traction on the bottoms is good. The hardware is heavy duty. They seem like they will hold up for a long time. I included some photos of the boots in natural (outdoor) lighting to show the true color.
