CALLING ALL THICK CALVES LADIES
!!! For my thick calf ladies- these are the boots for you!!!!I have a 20 inch calf at the widest part and these boots fit perfectly with a tiny bit of room to spare. I have searched high and low for the perfect boot and am so happy to have found these. It is really difficult to find a wide width, snip toe boot- but here we are! The quality is great and they are so comfortable. I will say I normally do not have a wide foot, but these are pretty narrow and I did size up 1 full size and get wide width. The color is more of a grey taupe/brown which I do love as I think these boots would go with any color outfit. The heel is pretty short, so these are definitely a more comfortable fashion boot than others I have.

Perfect for Wide (20”) Cankles; Big Calf Ladies Rejoice!
Just got them so I can’t attest to quality over time, but the first test for me is always whether I can squeeze my 20”cankles into a new pair of boots, and these babies passed.I’ve been wearing just-below-the-knees boots daily for years, with jeans and dresses. My usual boots have a 16-18” shaft height but always a 20” circumference. I’ve worn the Vestiture Alamos for years, but always blow the sole off from daily wear, as they don’t have a goodyear welt construction. Always end up buying a new pair within a year.I couldn’t find on the product specs where these feature a welted sole, and I was less than thrilled about a rubber sole, as I always figured that contributed to my early blowouts, but these have a far superior construction I can see off the bat. Hoping the uppers stick for at least a year but will update if and when these blow out.As far as shaft height, these are shorter than I prefer, hitting at mid-calf, but they’re plenty wide enough in the shaft that I could wear long johns AND overalls with them. And I’m not kidding. I do have both.Because rural AF chicken farmer. The toes are narrower than I’m used to, but I went with my usual size - 12, because I’m pretty and everything, but also part Shrek - and I’m glad I didn’t go down a size. Definitely a bit of a pinch after a few hours in the beginning, in the sides of my feet and arches, but with wear they should get nice and comfy and it shouldn’t take long.Leather is nice quality. Definitely have had some sturdier leather boots in my life but for sure had some crappy leather that can’t compare to these as well, so pleased in that department. If you large calf ladies are unsure, let me promise that a 20 inch calf or less is easily accommodated by the size 12, thanks to the deep V. No calf muffin tops, even in jeans, and if you have wide calves you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. My legs look proportional and nice, without being so roomy as to make me look like a pirate.

Great fit, wide calf, cute and comfy!
These boots are perfect! I have pretty big calves and have been searching for a pair of boots to fit for a long time. The shaft on these fit great and even have a little wiggle room which I love because they don't wrinkle or buckle around the ankle as I walk or move. I am 5'6" and the bottom of the "v" cut hits right at the bottom of my calf muscle, and the top of the sides of the boot hit about mid calf.My feet tend to lean more on the wider side of shoes, but some wide shoes fit a little too wide and some normal shoes will be a little snug in the beginning, but stretch out to be comfortable after a few wears. I went back and forth on whether to order the wide or the regular on these, but after reading several reviews I ultimately settled on the wide, in my true size (9.5), and they fit perfect! They're just the tiniest bit snug across the toes but it's not uncomfortable and I know the leather will stretch out after a few wears. Also, they are very comfortable and offer good support. Finally, in addition to the great fit, they are so cute! I think they're a little darker brown than they look in the picture and they have kind of a black undertone to them in some places. As a result, they go with pretty much anything.

4.5 * Comfy casual Western look & heel for muscular calves
For wide calves and for comfort with boot socks & wide feet due to a bunion, I ordered size 8W. So both the boot shaft and the toe box are wide & roomier. The look of the color is like a tan boot that’s “distressed” with black dye coloring. They’re not dressy but they’re very comfortable right out of the box & look authentic western rather than “fashion”. I’ll be wearing these for barn chores so the riding heel is perfect for stirrups, and easy on my bad back for long days. Sole is ok for two-stepping (better than rubber soles) but doesn’t slide as well as a true smooth leather bottomed boot sole does - so use powder on soles to avoid a sudden stop wrenching your knees. The leather outer seems thin, but it’s soft & pliable for this reason. The inner lining makes it comfortable & silky against your leg & clothes, but means I can’t see the sueded side of the leather inside the boot. Not sure if they’ll weather & wear well, we shall see. I paid a very discounted price for a pair that was returned, so it won’t break my heart if they get blemished; I wanted a great fit for a work horse boot. These are that. If I had seen these on a shelf I wouldn’t have thought the leather was real, as it feels like “PU Leather” but Laredo says it’s not that.
