Absolutely no arch support in this shoe but meets three necessary requirements.
I purchased the Leader Show Men’s Casual Elderly Safety Shoes for my husband who is recovering from a stroke on 3/3/19. He needed a shoe with a velcro closure, made of mesh, that has a little wider toe box since he has a reddened area where bunions form....these fit the bill in all three categories. Being a diabetic he needed a shoe which would have give in that area so an ulcer doesn’t form. The elastic laces help him slip his foot easily into the shoe. His and my only complaint is that the shoe has absolutely no arch arch support. The shoe width is as described. My husband says they are very comfortable so far. They have yet to be washed so I can’t comment on how well they will hold up from that perspective. Another area of concern is since he wears an AFO device which prevents him from dragging his toe when taking a step, I question how long the Velcro strap will last since the rectangular metal piece the strap is inserted through has a tendency to turn to the side rather than staying straight while fastening the Velcro down. In other words instead of the metal piece staying securely at an angle when adjusting the velcro, it slips into a vertical position which I don’t feel provides stability when fastening the closure and may cause the shoe to feel somewhat loose.

Light weight and look good, no need to tie, the Velcro helps to secure a snug fit, they are true to size, the width is a medium wide not narrow but not as wide as other shoes I own that are in a wide size or extra wide. Upgrade to a better sole insert for more comfort (easily removable). Outsole has a good grip, I just started wearing them and I hope they last because they are comfortable.

Lightweight and very LIGHT duty
Shoes were as sized expected. Lightweight and comfortable. BUT they are NOT long lasting. The OUTSOLES of the grey pair showed a great deal of wear after only 10 times used. I bought a pair in Grey AND a pair in Blue. The outsole on the blue shows MUCH less wear (it has a slightly different pattern than the grey also). Blue pair gets a 4 star, Grey pair gets a 2 star rating. The grey WOULD be good a a driving shoe, but not good enough for consistent walking. NOT low cost enough to be a throw away walking shoe.
