As you can see I just wore my military shoes on my last treatment day for cancer. I had to wear a towel for six weeks as they blasted me arse with rad. So I told my Girls that I would wear my towel on my last day.
I'm very impressed with these shoes! Very comfortable and durable! I was worried because I didn't have time to break them in before a big event. I had no discomfort at all and they were actually quite comfortable. I typically wear an arch orthotic, which I forgot, but even still, these were were perfect!
I'm a novice piper, putting together my first kit. I don't know one brogue from another, but comparing these shoes with my Rockport wingtips, these are very nice. They are very comfortable, especially for not having any break in. My foot is a bit wide. The ad said this brand runs a little wide, so I ordered exactly the size I normally wear (with US to UK conversion). The shoes fit perfectly. I expected a little thicker sole (not sure why), but these are good. Metal cleats on the heels. Reasonably quick delivery. Happy Customer.
These shoes are much better than I expected and are of great quality. Convert the size from UK to US via Google. The sizes are pretty spot on. I ordered what should have been a US 13 and it fits the way any other US 13 fits in my foot.
Beautiful shoes. Perfect for competition season. Ghillies are never the most comfy but I wore these right out of the box. They are breaking in nicely and they were definitely worth the price.
I play in a pipe band and get a lot of use from my gillies each year. First time buying them from Amazon, I was a little nervous because I spend so much marching time in these things, they need to fit and be comfortable. So far I’m impressed. They fit as expected from the size chart. They are comfortable, and have held up well so far. The leather is of good quality, I was concerned about the shine, but they shine well and seem durable so far. I recommend.
