Looks/Feels Great -- Buy a Pair
UPDATE: Saturday; March 25, 2023I currently own 12 pairs of these chukkas and I love them. Initially, when I bought my first pair, I was hesitant on buying another pair. However, after wearing these chukkas throughout an entire day and the comfortability that I felt, I changed my mind and started buying them. My initial 4-star review (due to dirtiness and slippery sole) has been upgraded to a 5 due to the comfortability.(By the way, after one wear, the slippery sole dissipates.)Now, with some purchases, I have been having issues with dirtiness and scuff marks throughout the shoes, causing me to give them a deep cleaning to restore them to a presentable look. Each time I have had an issue, I contact Liberty Zeno and the one of its agents respond very quickly. Not only is the response rapid, but a ten-percent discount is usually provided for my troubles. Thus, the customer service is top-notch.In regard to the shoe, the feel of these chukkas is so smooth when worn. The way these chukkas hug your feet is nothing I have felt when wearing other chukkas. When you lace these shoes on your feet, they literally swallow your entire feet tightly (view the video). The laces have some elasticity to facilitate the tightness. The inner padding/sole is soft and feels nice when walking. These chukkas are not British Walkers (one of the best), Clarks, or some other major brand. However, these are quality chukkas and I can attest to that, for I own Bristish Walkers, Clarks, and various other chukkas from various brands. If you are questioning buying these, don't. I suggest buying them because they are of great quality -- when they are sent clean and not dirty. Some reviews question the authenticity of the leather. I can say without any doubt that these shoes are REAL leather; they are genuine. I own both genuine leather and faux leather chukkas boots, and these are definitely REAL leather. In the future, I plan on buying the three remaining (smooth leather) colors in conjunction with the suede leather that are not currently available. Again, if you have any doubts about these shoes, give them a try and buy a pair.======I had this chukka boots in the favorite list late last year of 2019, planning on buying a few different colors. However, they were no longer available after I checked for them later. While searching to buy a different chukka boot, this shoe came up and I quickly purchased it after asking a question regarding size. I'm glad I purchased it because these orange boots look amazing and feel nice on my feet. Nonetheless, the pair that I received looks like it was worn: the right shoe looks new, while the left looks like it was worn due to some stains. There are also some inconsistencies in the orange-coated painting. For the most part, it is orange throughout; however, in some areas (on the base of the shoe), a lighter color orange is clearly visible. Moreover, the traction of the boots is semi-problematic; gripping is definitely an issue. I tested walking with them on floor tiles and it was very slippery. I haven't tested them on concrete or wood flooring, but I assume they will be okay when walking on those flooring. Now, I'll focus on the packaging. The packaging of these chukka boots was careless and horrendous. I received the shoe in a flimsy poly mailer with Amazon's logo on it, causing the shoe box to be ruined and battered. In other words, the packaging was pure trash. For a shoe that looks so nice and classy to be placed in a flimsy package as if it were a slipper is beyond comprehension. I've purchased a plethora of shoes online and I cannot remember one time receiving a shoe in a poly mailer -- because they all were shipped in a BOX.Again, these boots look gorgeously amazing and feels nice when worn. I was deciding on returning them because the left one looks worn, but I won't even waste my time. I was also planning on buying a few pairs, but after receiving one pair with a couple of issues (regarding being worn and a slippery sole), I doubt that I'll buy another pair of a different color. That being said, would I recommend these chukka boots? Yes, I would because they look great and there are very few chukka boot manufacturers -- besides Clarks -- that offer a variety of colors to pick from. However, keep in mind of the issues that were stated herein, especially the lack of traction/gripping on tiles. This chukka boot would have been flawless if it were made with a non-slip sole and the orange painting were properly coated throughout.
