Style and comfort without the high price!

I love these loafers. Patent leather and color give these shoes a high style appearance. Color is reminiscent of cordovan leather, popular with men’s shoes. Added height is just right. Lifestride’s added support and comfort with the insoles make these ideal for work and shopping.

Lifestride doesn’t know it’s shoe

I love the look of this shoe and this is my first experience with a loafer but there are several problems-1) manufacturing isn’t great on quality control. For one thing the sizing is off. I wear a 7.5 but their 7.5 is larger, probably because they are using European sizing—and they don’t know how to coordinate what is actually a 7.5. 2) another thing is the seams at the ankle bone. The seams are smooth and perfect on the left shoe, but the right the seam cuts into my ankle bone on the right side. After checking I noticed the seam was bent in and had a hard thing inside poking inward. I tried bending it outward and it worked for awhile. I kept a bag clip on it overnight and it’s better. It’s still very hard in that spot. 3) the last thing is the company. The people there when I talked to them are unaware that loafers are often harder to size for people, according to AI on loafers. AI recommended tongue inserts or toe inserts or heel inserts or a full insole. I can’t be buying and trying so I thought the company would know what works with their shoes. It seems like the company should be aware of this and be able to recommend something specifically for their loafers. This is my first experience with the company. Usually I buy Sorel because the fit is perfect and their shoes are very comfortable. For Lifestride, after speaking with them, it seems more like a conglomerate with shoes made anywhere. They don’t really know about shoes. I usually get shoes from Nordstrom online because Nordstrom really knows shoes, but the loafers there were more expensive than from Amazon. The company might be more careful with shoes they sell on Nordstrom than those they sell on Amazon. There is an insole with a size 7.75 so I might try that. I hate to experiment though!
