Stylish, Supportive, and Surprisingly Versatile

fashionable leopard pattern, comfortable foot bed, pricier than the big comfort sandal brand
This review is for the “ LightFeet Arch Support Double Strap Slide Leopard Print“This pair of LightFeed slides is truly super light. They feel great on my feet. The arch support hits my the bottoms of my feet in the right spots. I ordered size 10, I usually wear a 9.5 but half sizes are not offered. The straps are fashionably wide and the wild cat pattern is cool looking. I always get compliments and questions wearing these shoes.My feet cannot handle them more than half day. They swell up in the heat and the straps dig in, they do not stretch and are not adjustable. I just have to take them off when it gets to this point. I own a similar pair by the big brand starting with a B and ending in stock. Their plastic shoes have adjustable straps and I can wear them all day.What really surprised me is the high price tag for this pair. At $70 they are $14 more than the big name brand.I would get this item/set again but only at a lower price point and for the future I suggest improving them with adjustable or at least stretchy straps. My actual 3.5 star rating gets rounded up automatically.

Too much time in the sun might shrink them
These are nice slides and appear to be well made. Each slide seems to be molded from a single piece of foam, so there are no seams or attached parts that may loosen. The material used to make the slides is Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), which is a synthetic polymer known for its flexibility and strength. Although EVA is easily heated to be used as foam to be molded into items such as the slides, there is a downside to EVA. I previously ordered some EVA slides which I kept outside the door on our porch. Well, one day the slides apparently became too hot in the sun and they shrank; and my feet would no longer fit inside. They shrank quite a bit. The next sunny day I tried to stuff t-shirts inside them in an attempt to expand them back to the proper size, but they did not expand. While it is apparently easy to compress molecules of EVA into a tighter form, it is not as easy to then get these tightly packed molecules to expand. So, just know that the sun may not be a friend to these slides.The potential shrink issue aside, these are nice slides with arch support, which is not typical for slides. And they do feel comfy on the soles. Like most slides, these do not have buckles or velcro to make size adjustments. I suspect that the sizing for these slides may run a bit toward the small side, probably by just by half a size. Although we ordered our usual size, the slides are quite snug and unfortunately won't easily fit when wearing regular socks. With bare feet, the slides do fit, barely (you won't have to worry about them slipping off your feet), but when at the beach we'll have to remember to keep them out of the sun.I appreciate that these slides are supposed to be made from recycled EVA, which might mean the EVA is already slightly more compressed and denser than raw EVA, and might make the slides more resistant to heat shrinkage. I also simply like that these slides are keeping waste EVA from going into the landfills.However, I still balk at how expensive these slides are; I mean we're talking slides, not even slippers or sandals. Yet, these cost quite a bit more than even most comparable slippers and sandals. Is the extra cost due to the material being recycled, or something else? In any case, at that price these slides better not shrink or wear out for another decade.
